We came here for general share chat so feel free to tip GGP - I have traded a few weeks ago ( 7.6-7.8p entry, sold 8.9) and bought this week and this am at 8.7p.

Likely to go high if / when the mine drill results come out or the sale/takeover occurs. Probably hold until then!

Too true, CINE doing well, I sold well too early, mainly as I didn't know what to expect as first time in there! Now I know. It's just a jump to the left on CINE!
MCRO slowly moving up, I could sell my cheap tranche for a few quid but prefer to hold until a rise into 450's when most can go at a good profit. Or 500p ish.

CL has not followed T's range last couple of days, fell 20p ish short, so I'd guess 1020 - just checked the intraday chart on LSE for CCL, shows top at 1020. Bottomat 940. Noticed I had a limit buy at 940 on CCL today so missed it by a few p!!!

I know what you mean with the little and often profit. I have got over sellers remorse now, I **KNOW** the price will keep on rising after I sell ( seems to do so 80% 0f the time! ) but I kick myself more when the price falls sharply while I am holding on and I make less or go back into loss! So I missed out on 1p/share CINE today. But DID get 2/p share profit!

I got Cine at 56.8, sold 59.4 for around £130 on 6000 shares, think it was 3.7%. Took 3 hours.
Of course they carried on rising! I shall let em ride next time!
QUick dabble in IAG at 194, they look like they are rising.

CCL - seems to have a daily routine, although yesterday was flat until the last hour.
Today started up early!

CINE at 60.3 now!

Very tempted to get yet more MCRO first thing at 385 .. but my holding is already a large proportion of my pot so left it, shame could have had around 30p share profit so far on those but hey ho!

Intended to buy CCL again around 940 but was away from screen and now look at them, 1006!!

Quick in and out of Cine this am, couple hundred profit on small price movement, I may watch / hold Cine in future.
Having a look at some of the favoured shares on here - IAG, Vevr an S's Plus, to get a feel for their movements.. nice daily range!

I use HL so didn't see the problem and got a CCL sale in. ( if you do more than a certain number of trades the price on HL falls to £8.95, then £5.95 I think ).

They don't bite here, I am new since Feb 20, and they helped me pick up what to do, what to look for etc. Any questions I am sure they / we can help.

Treacle produced a trading tips list based on his hundreds of years of trading ( ;-) ) which is worth reading, I posted it last night for R ( another newcomer here ) which is now on page 129 at about 00:28. About half way down.

The FCS guarantee is £85000 for banks, not sure if shares are treated differently or not. Cash in the trading account would be I guess.

Since shares are registered centrally somewhere I **think** they should be recoverable from that body, FCA or similar??
As you say, our tame ex financial advisor will know more accurately!

Anyway it will all probably be fine later / tomorrow.

Ha! I bet you are correct, they won't give you 1005 CCL or 210 IAG! Worth asking!!! but there will be a disclaimer about their lack of service provision not being liable for customer losses!

Ohh no S.... you will be sad .. CCL fell back to 980ish, but rising again now

I use HL, and their Charts and performance page, use interactive share chart is useful. I keep it simple and just use fast stochastic chart with the price chart.

Out of CCL now @ 1005p. 4.3% profit.

Buy back in tomorrow if sp falls more! V

Yep, CCL cast off on wards and upwards.

Well done on Cine ... I guess it depends how many shares you hold is 4% profit is worth it - if I had gone in for 10,000 shares (£6k ish ) the other day I would have made about 3% profit or about £200 !!
Wouldn't want to risk / tie up more than that just now!

S - Do you think IAG will fly (!!) up past the 220?
CINE only seems to have gone up a few pence since March, I was considering it for a hold until after cinemas open again.
As I posted yesterday or so, I am thinking of battered down shares that will bounce after lockdown ends.. maybe IAG, TUI, CINE, entertainment Co's etc. to hold a while.

Meanwhile try and trade when these pesky things move!

Topped up MCRO at 399. Averaged price down from the 478 price. Fairly large proportion of my portfolio now hopefully good returns when it hits £5. If not today then soon.

T rules #1 in action .. if opens down will rise during the day ( CCL and MCRO ).
