Hairy: Anyone who hasn`t waxed lyrical about GLR over the last couple of years, and wholeheartedly agreed with the constant positive comment/opinion/analysis posted on this BB seems to be regarded by some to be a `deramper`. Surely then, all of those who have blindly `followed the faith` with their analytical eulogies, without even considering for one minute that GLR might not actually reach the dizzy heights they are dreaming about ought, accordingly, be regarded as rampers? And, this being the case, there have been far, far more `rampers` posting on here than there have been `derampers`. Thus, I would suggest that those who you regard as derampers here would not have affected the SP one iota.

I have no doubt that some have been persuaded to invest in GLR because of what they have read on this BB (er . . . . the constant ramping perhaps?). However, it would appear that many investors who have never contributed to this BB have jumped ship, (and not just because of Bird`s lack of communication) but because they share an alternative view.

Goodness, only a few weeks ago, `Good Old Colin` could do no wrong and was thought by many to be close to `pulling another rabbit out of the hat`. Well, on the rare occasions I have worked myself up to mentioning him on this BB, I have always been less than positive about the man. Simply, I do not rate him in the same, positive way most others on this Board do.

Hairy: Get rid of Sylvia? It won`t happen. They have been together for a long time. I guess that CB `appointed` her in order to give her a nice little earner out of the GLR `pot`. Likely that she has expensive tastes - owning racehorses is an expensive hobby!

Billy; Re your "Has anyone tried emailing investor relations. Yes, I have three times in the last 4 months or so. If you look at the GLR web site you will see that Sylvia Vrska was added a few months ago under `Key Management`. She is described as "Corporate Manager/Investor Relations". Out of interest, she previously worked with Bird in Lion Networks Ltd where she spent about 14 years there between 2000-2014 (dissolved) as "Corporate Manager/Investor Relations"! As an aside, aged 37, she has apparently lived/worked in Dubai.
Anyway Billy, Ms Vrska seems to be too busy with the `Investor Relations` part of her job, because she has ignored my emails - the last one prefaced by `Under the Freedom of Information Act (etc)`.
Out of interest again, Mr Bird and Ms Vrska have quite an interest together in horse racing. They have had shared ownership of race horses for some years - for instance, one called "Steak and Ale" and another called "Coral Fever" (which they raced in South Africa). . . . . . I had to smile when I read that Coral Fever was described in a racing journal as "Mr Bird`s Maiden Group 1 success in 41 years of racing!" I can only hope that his success at the helm of GLR will not take as long!

So Billy, a lengthy read perhaps, and far too long just to say that GLR`s Investor Relations seems to have a very deep `Pending` tray which, seemingly, just gathers dust.

Billy: Your "What`s with all them small buys" . I seem to recall someone once saying that it is usually done by the MM's to tamper with the algorithms in order to boost the sp. Beyond that though, I have no idea!

Billy: Your "the SFR 2.6p is looking like an impossible figure" : Certainly a pragmatic view albeit, I guess, rather belatedly. However, my sentiments entirely!

There is nothing bitter in my make-up, but I am unafraid to print an alternative view as I see it. A fair amount of opinion on most AIM penny-shares is, unfortunately, little more than hype (and always has been). By that though, I am not including the well-researched and/or knowledgeable views and opinions of members which I regard as the heart and soul of any BB. As an aside, it isn`t just the lack of news that causes AIM shares to drift lower.

As for the helicopter report not needing to be reported - surely good news from the survey ought to have been worth a mention? I have no doubt that, along with all of the other contributors on this BB, you would have been looking forward to such news with real anticipation. Your excuse as to why such news has never been published is therefore weak in the extreme.

As for filtering me because I have nothing worthwhile to contribute - fine! A `worthwhile contribution` in your eyes would seem to have to come from the party line. Positive (even if insubstantial) comment would appear to be always welcome and never questioned. Conversely however, any alternative opinion has to be rubbish. In retrospect though CHRISP, I wonder if you would now accept that your "we are at the point where take-off is real" (of 16 May) was nothing more than hype, and could hardly be considered a `worthwhile contribution` because of any sound judgment on your part - especially considering it proved to be a forerunner to the later 40% drop in SP. Even you would now have to admit that it was just plain WRONG - out of Dreamland no less!.

CRISP:
Unfortunately, I think that you remain in Dreamland. Four months ago you wrote, "We are at the point where take-off is real". As you wrote that, the SP was at1.90. Since then, it has dropped by 40%.
The realist in me suggests that the Seige payment of £700K, plus the anticipated royalties (if and when they arrive), will make little difference to the SP. And then there are the expected drill results - I wonder why they are taking so long?
Finally, to end my pessimistic view, (unless my memory is failing here), were there ever any significant results announced following the helicopter survey?

Billy - Your positive approach, coupled with your optimism are infinitely better traits than being negative and/or pessimistic (thinks . . . . just reminded me of my ex!).

Me? I would like to think that I mirror your make-up. But, I am also a realist!

A second RNS within 3 days! This is just too much Mr Bird!

An interesting link Ella. I had noticed some months ago that Bird had sold all of his considerable holding in JLP back in January (over £3M). I wonder if he had had an early brief of the Zambian government`s views of the unacceptable pollution detail?

Hi iky, Likewise just noticed this. Frankly, it seems rather meaningless, save that most folks were expecting an RNS here at the end of the month. I suppose a bland announcement may make most people feel joyous!
I wonder how long it will be before GLR`s drilling results will be announced? I am a simple soul, but I just can`t see why it is taking so long. I had a ground-source central heating hole drilled in my land last year. The drilling equipment looked remarkably similar to that simple piece of drilling kit on the GLR website. My whole drilling job was completed in 2 days once everything was erected! Incidentally, there were no significant signs of copper within what was going to be my rear garden!

Billy: It certainly is - although my holding is small (a remnant, kept on for interest from yesteryear)

Billy: Your "No news this week then". Never mind, because it would appear that the general consensus is predicting `good news` is imminent. Hmm! - we will see.
With my final thought for the day, I should add that the general consensus I refer to are the dozen, or so, regular contributors here on this BB. However, it seems to me that there must be many, many more GLR investors who are less than enamored with GLR`s current, and imminent, potential. Otherwise, the SP should already be rocketting.

Hi Caveat:
You are correct in that I hadn`t looked at Bird`s financial commitments viz GLR at IPO. But, presently he has just £750K invested in GRL. From what you say, it would appear that he has a lot to recover before he even breaks even. We will see.
