howezap: I am amazed that you can possibly be aware that I have made poor investment decisions. I must speak to Hargreaves Landsdown regarding what must be an obvious leak regarding my account! More to the point, some 3-4 years ago I made quite a killing with GLR which even then was under Bird`s stewardship. However, later there was something significant which raised a quizzicle interest about Bird himself.
Incidentally, I am not trying to knock any investors confidence, but I do feel it important to highlight a problem with XTR (and GLR for that matter) apropos who is commanding the ship.
As for the racecourse deposit - I hope that the investors get a worthwhile `taste` - but, I so wonder.

Steve4077: I can assure you that I am me and have never used another pseudonym/avatar. However, I have always had extreme reservations about one C Bird (er . . CEng . . . etc, etc!) for a whole host of reasons.

Andrew4444: Your last in which you highlight the Xtract response (7 Oct 2020) was not in response to the Lusaka Times article which I highlighted. That article was published over one year earlier in 2019. Nowhere has Bird or the XTR heirarchy ever refuted Bird`s association with that miscreant Shawi Fawaz and the associated link with XTR. Out of interest Andrew, what is it in the article which YOU would refute! What is it in the article which you would regard as untrue? I have no doubt whatsoever that the Lusaka Times lawyers would have checked the article for accuracy before allowing it to be published. Moreover, no sign of Bird ever starting preceedings to sue . . .etc!

Steve4077: Whilst you accuse Fulmar29 with a `stalkiing attitude` towards Bird, you also add that you "like Colin as a person". I assume therefore that you know him personally. However, I wonder if you are aware that there has been an extraordinary amount of published, most disagreeable news that shows Bird in a less than savoury light with his association with that mega-gangster Shawi Fawaz . By the way, I just included just a taste of Bird`s association with that unsavoury character Shawi Fawaz. Your description of `Dodgy Dealing` is the understatement of the year. `Unscrupulous` doesn`t even fit the bill. And are you convinced that Bird`s `modus operandi` and effort is purely for the shareholders benefit?

Those who have previously noted my comments of our man Bird (and I am not refering here to his horse-racing interests) will have noticed that I have never admired him or held him in high regard. Some of my deep concerns are partially highlighted in fulmar29`s post timed at 07:54 this morning. The referenced article he includes is lengthy, but I urge all to read it. From GLRs sandpoint, Bird has more than a mention towards the end of the article. His association whith Shawi Fawaz has to raise much more than a quizical eyebrow!

A bit of `Niff-Naff & Trivia` for you. Galileo used to be named `General Industries Plc` (from 2006-2011) and, previous to that `SpearEagle Plc`. In 2011, its name changed again to Galileo Resources - I wonder why? I mentioned a few days ago that Bird and Sylvia Vrska had jointly owned a fair number of racehorses of which one was a horse called `Steak & Ale`. Steak & Ale`s Grand-Dam was called Galileo - apparently a VERY famous and successful Irish racehorse (before eventually going out to stud). Perhaps Bird changed the company`s name to Galileo in order to bring it luck!!!

Ah well - t`is Friday, (albeit a black one)!

There has been many a comment here opining that Bird has been concentrating on his other ventures/companies to the detriment of GLR. I have always had a more simplistic view, with particular regard to Bird`s lack of communication and I have covered it before.
Good news would generate a RNS - without a shadow of doubt and, in particular, because it would only take Bird a few minutes to pen and obtain the Board`s tacit approval. This should then be followed by an increase in the SP. Any other news, be it bad or indifferent would undoubtedly hit the SP. A bland resume of drilling progress and other business progress would be unlikely to improve the SP, because it was just that - BLAND, and without any GOOD news!

As an aside, I see that XTR`s SP has dropped by about 20% over the last month (up to today - Black Friday!)
