I did previously invest (back in 2017) but bailed out after a couple of months so nice to be back and making some money this time

so I have had another nibble. Lets hope it keeps going.

Article today stating IP Group will benefit greatly from the float of Oxford Nanopore. Do we know the assumed NAV for IP Group for this holding?

After a long delay this morning the price seems to be moving up.......as we are at a circa 11% discount the NAV and paying a large divi perhaps the start of a good movement?

I would buy more but I am already at my self imposed limit for a single company.

Profit largely flat (up or down depending on the measure used), but great liquidity ratio and a stonking first year dividend

I will stick with this investment for the income but perhaps not buy more at the moment

yes very good results - licence fees moving in the right way very quickly and they are doing a manufacturing JV in China

State fully funded and have a lot of cash (relatively)

Only concern is the increasing costs but these are probably sales related and from supporting OEM partners

being rubbish as the time stamp is 7am but it did not appear on LSE till nearly 9am......

Wonder why the placing? Are they going to buy something?

no real b ad points. Limited information in the forward view but no reason to doubt continued good performance.

I have a long term issue with the coal assets as use is declining nearly everywhere......

The RNS details the sale of Cross London Trains (XLT) and a purchase......

The sale of XLT generated £333M - looking at the Final Results this was purchased for £62.7M and (I think) had a NAV in the books of £166.3M. So a significant profit on purchase price AND a sale at double book value.

Looks like they now have a lot of spare cash (special divi or further purchases) AND NAV will need updating!

Hopefully a good day tomorrow and explains (perhaps) the very large buy at close of play on the 13th at 105p.

The only issues I see are debt is still high (but reducing) and share bonus' are up significantly
Still a strong hold though
