He’s a nobody.
EC.
Believe me I have looked at the charts.
Like I said, our issues preceded the Hamas attack. I’m not saying it hasn’t had some possible affect, but it’s not the overriding source of our problems.
@EC
That’s a big leap to make, blaming the war.
PFC’s problems started well before Oct 7th.
One needs to look at previous Mgt and that includes a shed load of mistakes, corruption and hubris that means we find ourselves where we are today.
I’d prefer no MP involvement
If this test does what it says on the tin, and I’m confident that it does, then the NHS and other similar bodies will come to us.

Interesting post. When was the SIMPLIFY report published?
Thanks for sharing.
I like those numbers OAPK20.👍
That should have read. They have to re-buy the shares to hand back to the owner.
Then if they believe the shares will go up after that then they’d buy them in the open market. I’m certain they’d keep a short hedge on those under 0.5% to determine the sp direction before closing one of them out.
They have to give the shares back because they were only on loan.
Their next move would be to buy shares in the open market if they thought the shares would then go up.
Personally, I wish the Uk would ban shorting. Too much insider info. The SFO should apply the same penalties on that murky part of the market as they did for PFC’s bribery case.
Janbo, it doesn’t work like that.
Hedge funds don’t have to buy shares. They borrow them from institutions/brokers, etc.
They then sell those shares in the market. That in itself can depress the sp if lots of big sells appear.
They also have no problems in reporting their short position. This has a psychological effect on retail investors.
Once their target is hit, they buy the shares back in the market and return the shares to the institutions/brokers.
They keep the difference between the sell price and the re-buy price, minus any interest/commissions agreed and paid to the borrowers.
They may even borrow the shares that you own through a nominee acct.
A simplistic explanation, but that’s the general jist of it
I know.
I just thought it would put a smile on Joe’s face.
He’s been quiet of late.
Up 12.5% so far today.
Thanks neilin.
You too OAPK20
@OAPK20
Thanks as ever for sharing that.
I got lost very quickly though. I’ll hazard I’m not alone in that.
Perhaps either yourself or Neilin could do a very brief layman’s terms summary when you have some spare time to do it.

ALBANY, NY– October 9, 2023 – On Saturday, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 496 into law, making California the 13th state to expand access to biomarker testing. New York is considering comparable legislation through Assembly Bill 1673a / Senate Bill 1196a.
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Senior Government Relations Director in New York, Michael Davoli, responded to the legislative victory in California with the following statement:
“Advocates across the country applaud Governor Newsom for signing the biomarker bill, grateful that he heeded the calls of patients, survivors, their loved ones and providers to improve access for patients, no matter their diagnosis. We in New York hope Governor Hochul will follow suit and stand up for patients across New York.
Nice find neilin.

Says the person that said, “I need to save myself from myself.”
I’d stick with TYM if I were you.
You do like investing in companies that specialise in placings. It seems to tick all the boxes in your investing criteria.
“ What I do find very encouraging is that our BoD continue to stick their hands in their pockets and buy shares, even as the price goes down. They have done that five times this year and continue to add to sizable holdings - nothing like having your own money on the table to focus minds! ”
I wish that were the case, unfortunately it is not.
