Haven't a clue bp, but that MSC news should have been a launch pad for the Qfi sp. Hoping that the announcement of the refiner to complete the jigsaw puzzle will be the missing piece we need to actually convince the market this is really happening.

This collaboration is way more important and lucrative than Maersk would ever have been looking back in hindsight.

Glad tomco holders are getting a significant rise hopefully on good news, certainly better than our rise on our monumental news with MSC due to the persistent seller messing it up for us.

Again the anecdotal evidence is adding up to the Refiner being Shell. Only by having a behemoth of Shell's size and resources can they make it work. So this new green corridor between the 2 biggest ports is another little piece of the puzzle taking shape.

Yes at the moment only the Leandra has been mentioned on which the POC and operational trials will take place. But and its only my opinion I think k its sister ship the Bremerhaven will be involved once the POC's have been completed and proven.

There seems to be some confusion as to how the trials will progress.

From my interpretation both MSAR and BioMsar will be both tested on the MSC leandra as POC trials.

But then for the operational trials I see it as dual trials using both the Leandra and the Bremerhaven.

It was stated by JM emphasising the purchase of 2 ships by MSC. If it was only one ship for the trial this needn't have been mentioned.

Why put 2 ships at risk unless you are absolutely sure that both work on the specified Wartsilla engine hence the POC trial. Both ships being of the same design.

MSC and Quadrise are already collaborating on a trial for MSAR, an enhanced emulsified synthetic heavy fuel oil (HFO), on commercial container vessels.

Now unless this is a mistake by Proactive Investors it seems that Msar has already been looked at and planned for.

Waiting on the latest Aquafuel results will then finalise the BioMsar trial.

I am seeing parallel trials and not consecutive trials.

As I have pointed out before there are power stations burning heavy fuel oil, right on our doorstep that Qfi could use to demonstrate Msar/BioMsar in a setting that is much quicker and less troublesome than 5hose at present.

The station comprises two 60MW and two 250MW oil-fired turbines. Its principal function is to help maintain security of electricity supply in Ireland’s all-island Single Electricity Market (SEM) by being available to operate on quick responses to peaks in national energy demand. The station will be required to close by the end of 2023 in line with EU emissions regulation.

In light of current events, this power station lifespan could be extended with use of Msar/BioMsar.

Seems Shell are involved in a full suite of Biofuels and so BioMsar/ Msar would be a good fit to their extensive fuels and lubricants for shipping.

I would still like to see Cepsa involved as well for the mediterranean routes and Morocco supply.

It really enhances the product by having 2 separate refiners on board.

Good intentions aside, “heavy fuel oil” is still the cheapest way to run a fleet of ships. So, it’s going to take regulations — or a cost-effective, breakthrough green technology — to convince shipping scions to meaningfully reduce their reliance on this fuel.

If this is going to work at scale. It can only really be Shell to do so surely. Considering the collaboration on developing MSAR 2 for the Maersk trial, they have been in the background since the beginning.

Well if they say it lasts upto 6 months I don't see see why that should be doubted as they would have done research and tests so as to back up that claim. Also regardless of whether Msar is better or not a major bulk carrier has saw fit to trial the fuel so is not inferior to Msar in the fact that it could get a commercial deal.

And before any naysayers step in, I'm not going negative. Still very positive on our prospects just don't like to be complacent with regards to any competition.

After all we are targeting the bunker market as well and was wondering if this was our bulk carrier.

I agree, but it shows that emulsion fuels are now being widely accepted as an alternative fuel, that other emulsions besides BioMsar are available. Scorpio found it attractive enough to want to test it and was thinking was this our Bulk Carrier that fell off the radar.

Mexico/Pemex really have no choice but to adopt MSAR as far as I'm concerned.

I'm hoping DON that production and supply is simply CEPSA producing it and ferrying it across the Straits of Gib.

The way JM talks about engagement and enthusiasm from the Industrial Team about getting the trial underway, I don't think it will take all the way upto years end to sign a deal upon a successful trial. Does anybody else ?

We know the Morocco trial is on the cusp of taking place and should be completed Q3. So let's say the very end of Q3 so the end of nxt month....tops. With consultation along the way its not going to take months after the trial to negotiate a contract. With other news in between from Aquafuel, Refinery .etc etc it should be a steady stream of news over the nxt 5 months

Once again the share price performance has nothing to do with Qfi. The MSC agreement we were all waiting for was signed and released as promised from Qfi. The fact an II was selling at the time impacted the sp rise.

So what more exactly could Qfi have done. Get on the phone to Miton and beg them to stop selling so retail shareholders can have a quick fix of adrenaline seeing the SP rise.

Value comes out eventually at some point.
