Diesel is going to be as rare as hens teeth at some point soon, so HFO is also going to start to dry up as no distillate to blend HFO. Any sector that uses HFO will need an alternative and that alternative is MSAR. So no burning of HFO in majority of sectors that use it, or if so at extremely highly elevated prices.

I have moaned in the past I know, but that has been when 8,9,10 weeks have passed and you start to get tetchy. I am more concerned about progress than the price at this moment. A very interesting piece on Biofuel quality especially wrt FAME.

Because Glycerol is used in the manufacture of FAME, if the final product has a high percentage of glycerides in the mix, these stick to metallic surfaces thus hindering engine performance.

Because the glycerol in BioMsar is not undergoing esterification to produce glyceride, it does not hinder engine performance. In fact as has been stated, it lubricates the engine.

In simple terms FAME biofuels are not as clear cut effective as Biofuels, without critical Quality control and inspection.

Another major plus for BioMsar.

It took a while for us to get the information through from Pemex for the techno-economic report, but we hot it and its in the hands of the relevant people, those being the head of Pemex refining operations who we've had contact with. The techno-economic report shows that using Msar is extremely lucrative for at least 2 of the refineries in question.

If Pemex want to solve their heavy fuel oil problem and reduce their refinery emissions after pressure from the US and Canada to do so, without resorting to expensive refinery upgrades then Msar is the answer.

Will it be an easy task, no. But I, at this stage wouldn't call it a none goer. Just my opinion.

I also think, that if the fuel producer for the trial and commercial supply going forward is announced as Shell, thst would also be a major catalyst for an sp rise.

I think just on Morocco it could saunter upto 10p, if the news release is two staged. First RNS that trial is completed successfully and client has received and is reviewed the data and are negotiating supply contract. Then 2nd RNS, supply contract signed, and supply coming from X. That would take it to minimum 10p.

So this time nxt year, you could see 25-30p. With MSC, Utah and any developments in the Americas.

Just a little more digging around on our Carribean refinery, still leads to 2 candidates. Aruba which stands out as a large refinery and Petrojam as pointed out elsewhere could depending on your definition.

That 6-9 months is based upon start from scratch planning to installment. If Cepsa is to be the refinery for Morocco, all of that is done. If the lines are still installed at San Roque, then as JM quoted many moons ago, an MMU could be installed in as little as 3-6 months.

I posted on this technology a few months ago. Now it has been trialled and a 10% saving on fuel consumption.

Its going to be exciting to see how good Msar/BioMsar is going to perform in the trials. Once numbers start to firm up around April/May and the potential starts to become reality. Those shipping companies waiting in the wings are gonna want to jump on board very quickly.
