Yes Tuckman, for me Morocco is very important. I think a few are disconcerted that the ahemmm, client has been so secretive about association with Qfi, despite shouting from the rooftops about all their other green initiatives, which kinda suggests it was Qfi who might have asked for the NDA.

So I really want to see the trials completed, then an RNS which will elevate the share price and then a little later after client evaluation another RNS to say engagement with client for contract talks. A sort of double whammy before the knockout of saying we have a contract.

It is essential that a solid bunker supplier is onboard, preferably Shell as they have the bunkering facilities and certificates, but more importantly can guarantee that MSAR/ BioMsar is a viable fuel and not some Offspec special brew.

Local clients are essential to have a reliable base to showcase, capacity and efficacy. Until we get a sniff that potential clients are waiting in the wings and are very interested in trialling Low Sulphur Msar then I'm not going to get over excited with Utah, till it firms up a little more.

Not going to wade into this one too much as Utah confuses the hell out of me, about what's going on. But as I said before, for me ( and its only my opinion) I think its more important at this moment to sell Low Sulphur Msar into local opportunities.

Those Mining operations and especially those Coal fired power stations that could be converted, one to show continuity of supply and two to prove it does what it says it does. Once up and running and these to metrics proven, then we can look at supplying it for marine.

I don't or can't believe that it will have a part in the MSC trials at this time.

Think we can all say, that Msar is the solution to Mexico's heavy fuel oil problem in the short to medium term especially for those older refineries that are going to need significant investment for the long term. This is staring them in the face and as already been stated the usual mix of politics and brown envelopes is costing them millions a day in lost revenue making it still, the most indebted oil entity in the world

Mind you Msar has been tweaked many times along the way, so you do have a good point. Either way we have been close in the Americas before and its fallen trough, so as manu said, not to get too hopeful with Mexico.

Not so Nejc113, the product in 2013 that Qfi was trying to gain a foothold with in Mexico was MSAR, not Orimulsion.

I agree manu. We've been here before circa 2013ish and it came to nothing. The Mexicans like the Saudi's could be on the verge of bankruptcy and still not have the foresight to use what plainly in front of their nose.

Just post these Mexican posts, just to show what kind of a mess they are in and have lost dollars hand over fist in the time they have hesitated in making a damned decision.

What really helps our progress is that this is not a new business for us. Shell is already a big producer of biofuels. We are excited to be scaling up 2G ethanol production in Raizen in the years to come.
We are also one of the biggest biofuel traders and blenders in the world. In 2021, our Trading and Supply business blended 9.1 billion litres of biofuels into Shell’s petrol and diesel worldwide.
Our strategy is to invest today in projects that use technologies that are commercial and can be scaled (like HEFA and RNG) but also in parallel invest in the de-risking of the advanced technologies that can convert the most abundant and sustainable feedstocks into the biofuels of the future.

Hopefully news will soon be forthcoming on the fuel provider and hopefully it is Shell.

The price of fertilizers is proportional to the cost of energy as it is an energy-intensive process. For example, Nitrogen production needs natural gas as the main ingredient.

Using Msar would very much lower that cost of energy in the use of their drying kilns.

Just to clear up the situation with regards myself. I didnt want to leave the forum, there are some great people on there and some extremely knowledgeable posters, but I felt I had to leave because there should be two sides to a debate. And unless you constantly sang the praises, you were a troll or talking the share down. Absolutely not. Different strokes and all that.

Some people keep their concerns to themselves , others need to voice them.

At the time I wasn't very confident in the prospects of Qfi and I admit it got to me. So having an argument with a poster who I had words with before and nothing being done properly p##ed me off.

What i find pathetic, is the day after that disagreement the admission blocked my ability to post, disabled the e-mail function. But couldn't be bothered to get in contact with me to say why, but that other poster who just happened to be a moderator,nothing happened.

And what was really pathetic, was because of comments I made on here about Qfi in July. The admins then decided to completely ban me for 5 weeks from accessing their forum and reading their posts. Nothing related to the forum, just a casual throw away comment about JM , which looking back in hindsight was wrong, but to be so childish as to ban.

I even sent an e-mail asking if it was a permanent withdrawal of being able to post ,and couldn't even be bothered giving me the courtesy of a reply.

No doubt I will be permanently banned from reading any forum posts after posting this. But hey so be it.

So yes, their forum their rules. But be consistent and subject both parties to a rebuke.

Its still a good place for research and debate, if new members feel like they want to join.
