Yes I agree with you - to a point - but lets not forget the full blown long drawn out war with ISIS in the region, the totally unforeseen crash of the price of oil down to $28 a barrel, and the drawn out bitter political wranglings between Iraq and the KRG etc etc.

With outside influence and assistance, these politics are now improving daily it would seem. ISIS has all but gone and the price of oil has improved considerably. The situation in the region has improved greatly over the last few years ( yes nearly a decade ) - so things 'might' come to a head at some stage soon. Time WILL tell......

I think in the long run this can only be good - shines a ( unwelcome ) spotlight in some dark places.
The KRG must completely clean up their act now - the world is watching and this could be the start of the process.
