Any genuine longterm investor in GKP will know that ( for Shaikan to be fully explored and utilised ) there must be and will
( at some stage ) be a full 'takeover' or merger with an IOC or NOC - when the politics etc etc are FINALLY resolved.......

It's only a matter of

A. When ?
B. By Whom ?
C. How much for ?

Until then impatiently wait, and wait, and wait...............

And the member of the committee, Amjad Al-Uqabi, stated that "the next few days will witness the delivery of oil sums by the region to the government as an entitlement for 250 thousand barrels." Al-Oqabi pointed out that "the oil and gas law will include mechanisms for dealing with the oil of the region and Basra, as it will be through SOMO," stressing that "it is among the important laws that will be approved during the coming days."

As if many peoples finances haven't already taken a serious and longlasting financial hit due to the Coronavirus ( not to mention - crucially - the horrendous death toll etc ) - then these greedy, selfish people ( Yes - YOU - the GKP Board of Directors ! ) stick their faces in the trough yet again, for yet another bout of financial gluttony.

These people have absolutely no soul, nor conscience.......

Damn them.

Like many more on here I suspect ( being an investor and not a trader ) I just couldn't "sell up" !

I keep holding them in the grim ( forlorn ? ) hope, that 'someday' the GKP shareprice will get back to ( or at least somewhere close to ) my breakeven point.

If I sold up now - I'd lose a fortune ! Never to be seen again.

That's why I hold on, and don't sell up - I can't !

And again, like very many here I suspect - I wish to **** I'd never heard of GKP !

And again, like very many on here I suspect - when this is over - I will NEVER EVER touch shares or the stock markets again !

Im sure we all have fond memories of our time on the iii GKP board and the characters who appeared and disappeared but at its height the banter was friendly and informative and good to be involved with and the word ****tard will always remind me of the board and banter which was sprayed about

Sorry to read about your awful situation.

We briefly met once - 'many moons ago' - in Manchester at a GKP Shareholders Presentation / Meet. Who'd ever have thought back then, that we would all be still hanging around here waiting on GKP to deliver what we all seek.

Reading about your sad news, and with what is happening around the whole wide world just now - it's abundantly clear that health is far, far more important than wealth. Something we should all take a moment to ponder on.

Our differing opinions and thoughts about GKP do not matter a jot at times like this.

Hope you have enough fuel left in your tank to get where you want to go.

Well said - GKP certainly has been/still is - a long gruelling hard marathon, with numerous obstacles having been thrown on the track over the years, and no sign yet of the finishing line. It is an extreme test of endurance and bloody minded grit and determination to keep going - but I for one will keep slogging on till I drag myself across the finishing line - whenever that will appear !

I just hope the 'prize' will have been worth the effort !

Maybe ( when the time comes to sell up to the Chinese/Russians or whoever ) GKP will use all the 13 Million or so shares they have bought back - to freely re-distribute them on a pro--ratio basis to all the 'long term shareholders' who have grimly hung on here over the last ten years or more, as a way of saying thanks for their patience, determination and long-term commitment to the Company through its turbulent history..........

Or maybe pigs will fly - lol.
