Been holding and buying as this has dragged out and just having to wait for the turn around. I guess many have sold out at a loss understandably. The longer the wait, though, the bigger return we will get here imo. When news does come, i reckon it will come all of a sudden, wrong footing many and leading to a big move up in the sp. this happens all the time with aim, a seemingly dead share gets a bit of good news and then multiplies several times in quick fashion. Just a long painful waiting game here, but news could come any time imo

Have to agree. Trying to buy when i can at these very low prices as i expect the sp will shoot up when drilling news is announced. Already half way through the year so news is obviously betting ever closer. At some point Newmont will give the green light, could be days or weeks but i would rather be in and just accept the long wait here. As i said earlier, Newmont don't invest on a whim so eventually they will make their move here

Newmont bought at over double the present sp and they clearly would be looking for a very good return on their investment, they dont just invest on a whim, hence the present sp is just beyond belief at this time. I would expect an sp of at least 15p as a minimum. Once things start to move here, i expect the sp will move back up very quickly imo

They walked from GGP after about 8 months of assessing a potential investment there but thay have actually invested in OMI. So that suggests they are happy with what they found at OMI. Their investment has pretty much halved now in OMI which is just crazy. OMI market cap is so small now that they must be a target now from another big player imo. Either way i do feel eventually we will get some very good news here and the sp will move back up strongly...

No forthcoming news from OMI/Newmont as yet regarding drilling. Seems to be dragging on and on. News can drop all of a sudden on aim shares and result in a big re awakening of the sp. I reckon many have sold out, most likely at a loss, purely due to boredom imo. Have done this my self in previous shares only to regret it. Will just keep holding and top up when i can, as this will come big at some point imo. The important point is, Newmont would have done alot of due dilligence before investing in OMI so there must be something big that they want......

Easy to say based on he sp performance this year....but I believe you will end up missing the boat by waiting....each to their own

Always risky trying you predict news flow...granted no decent news here for a long time but news can drop any time..and it is way over due....so better to be in at these really low levels imo and just top up as and when...this will move up very quickly with the right news wrong footing those on the sidelines

Maybe some buy trades on NEX. Either way blue is good. Some positive news from OMI management should see the sp move sharply back up imo....just a matter of when OMI decide to give us some news.....they do seem to be in hibernation at the moment but news must be due very soon imo. Holding and waiting and will just keep topping up when the chance arises

Just bought another 25k, will show up on nex. Sp getting ridiculously low so had to buy what i could. This will come good eventually imo.

My sentiment exactly ezlee87. Got stung with GGP, who ironically was dealing with Newmont as well. Nothing to do but hold at this stage. It is just a matter of drilling news coming out imo to get things moving here. Really am fed up with OMI management here. They have provided very little news regarding drilling. Would have expected some kind of comms by now from them. Just a drawn out waiting game sadly.

With lack of news from OMI/Newmont seems people are just getting bored and selling up imo and no doubt taking a loss. I'm still holding and having to wait for the eventual upturn. The turn back up could come anytime imo and propel the sp back up very quickly. This constant wait for news is a real pain though. Really expected drilling news by now. I guess we have waiting for such a long time now that news has to be close imo

A rare site not offen seen here lately.....sp in the blue...hopefully just the start of the move back up...been a long time coming. Any sustained positiveness here should see the sp move back up very quickly imo. Holding and hoping

I agree things can take time and Newmont have been distracted i would agree, however Newmont paid over 5p a share and the sp is below 3p. It has been on a pretty much constant downtrend since Newmont got on board. Volume here is pitiful. The spread is crazy at times. There has been very little drilling news for months on end so i feel, like many i'm sure, rather let down by the OMI board about the present state of affairs here.

Yet again the share keeps dropping. Absolute crap since Newmont got on board here. If it were up me, i would probably sack the whole board. Very poor decision making from them has seemingly left shareholders with such a poor investment since the initial Newmont hype. Pityful volume and the last trade of 100k was from Friday and actually looks like a buy. Will hold however long it takes for this to turnaround but such a lack of news from OMI regarding drilling is definitely very poor comms from them and provides very little faith in their handling of things

Agree. OMI management get paid irrespective but this lack of movement from Newmont is detrimental to shareholders. I do think the OMI board do have an obligation to shareholders and it is time for some answers from the board as to why things are dragging on for so long. This lack of movement demonstrates OMI's lack of consideration for shareholders imo. Hopefully this present stagnation will change very soon. Here's hoping

Just a matter of time for Newmont to start drilling. They have taken their time, i guess due to other factors not really related to OMI. Won't be much longer imo so won't be in bottom draw for much longer....Once the positive news starts to roll out, i expect the sp to liven up very quickly. When a share has been languishing at it's lows for so long, a spark of positivity can do wonders for it

Seems no interest either way so i think it has bottomed. Volume very low and not many posts. So for me this is now at rock bottom imo. There has ben a complete lack of positive news for the sp pretty much since Newmont got on board here all those months ago but i do think the time is now to buy imo. Will try and top up tomorrow as i can't really see the sp going much lower. That is the chances are much higher imo of a move back up now. Always a risk with aim but high risk = high reward in time

Old article. Had me wondering for a while. My general understanding is that OMI will be mining in a generally positive political region so there should be no issues regarding drilling. So just a matter of time before Newmont start drilling, Getting ever closer. Could happen any time imo. Holding patiently

Agree Bhargav. Positive changes happening though at a slower pace than i expected. OMI will come back to life in due course. Just a game of patience. When OMI comes out of it's coma, the sp should move back up very quickly imo

Also lost out on both of those myself ezlee87 and many others including GGP hence my decision to give up chasing shares that seem to be moving up. Failed too many times and now will just wait for OMI to do it's thing. Not worth the stress and grief of constantly losing out. I do believe we are now so close to seeing OMI come to life. We have waited many months since Newmont got on board here but our time will come.
