Very true. The MMs will use every trick to get shares off people. The MMs will want to buy cheap and sell back later at a higher price. With such a small free float available this will get very interesting. Holding on for much bigger gains. Looking very bullish. Wonder if some news will drop soon?

TSX closed on a high so sp has some catching up here. The MMs will mess around with the sp as more and more people want to get in. They will widen the spread, restrict trading etc but the trend is now up big time imo. Things really getting exciting now

Also remember Newmont walked away from GGP after 8 months of courting them, but Newmont were happy to invest in OMI. That speaks massive volumes imo.... Newmont know what they have with OMI and it will be very big imo

A 160% increase on the TSX market is amazing. EK buying in yesterday and 2 solid blue days and now the massive move up on the TSX market. Must be something really big in the wings imo. Not seen this sort of action here for a very long time. No smoke without fire as the saying goes. No doubt first thing tomorrow people will be trying to buy in. Will be very difficult and expect to see a big move up out of the blocks in the morning.

Typical MM tactics. Start to drop the sp as we draw to the close and then push it back up. Sp looking very strong imo. More of the same tomorrow. Not had 2 solid blue days here for a very long time. Things looking very good for tomorrow... :)

Agree Bhargav....So many posts over the last couple of days as well. Just shows how things can quickly liven up once sentiment returns. Volume has increased massively over the last coulpe of days and with EK buying in yesterday, maybe we can really look forward to seeing some big moves now....

This is the thing. As sentiment improves and demand increases, it gets very difficult to load up more shares. Hence why it is risky waiting to buy when news does actually land.

Uraguay settlement news could come any time imo as could further news from Newmont. Both news elements are expected to be very positive imo. With this in mind the sp could multiply very quickly. Very risky to time things here so my strategy is to stay put and await news as and when it comes. Better to be in at the bottom and let the news come as and when imo

Seems things are starting to liven up. Big move up then the MMs take it down again. Wonder if people are trying to day trade here. Very risky as MMs will play around with the spread and amounts you can buy etc etc. Shows how quickly the sp can move once interest returns. News getting ever closer. Some posiitve news should shoot up the sp like a rocket imo. This has been dragging on the floor for way too long. Holding for much bigger gains

Agree with your points Starbuck911. This one has definitely been a long wait. Low market cap, big potential asset with Newmont on board, gold price moving up strongly etc. The sp is at such a low unbelievable level and does have SOLG written all over it. OMI really is rare and to get in at these levels could really bring massive returns imo. This is the reason i have held tight here and accumulated when i can since i got in last year. Looking for a SOLG type return as things start to materialise here.

He does tend to have alot of followers from what i remember. When i traded other shares a few years ago, he was about, sadly rubbishing the shares i had held. Still by buying in here, no doubt there will be others that will follow suit. So small float and more demand means even more upwards movement imo. Looking good for a change..... :)

See the link from cf456 below. It shows EK saying he bought at 3.5p. Maybe the 2 trades today have something to do with this. Though not exactly 3.5p he may have just rounded up the figure he said he bought at...just trying to put 2 and 2 together. Either way this is a good thing imo

Evil Knievel...a so called big trader who has been trading for many years...don't always like his style but he is a big fish so good in my book if he decided to buy into OMI at 3.5p....he know his stuff

Interesting. Not heard much of EK of late, not that i was looking. However as i have said before follow the money makes alot of sense. IF EK is buying then this is another very positive sign imo.

Agree Bhargav. Hoping this little rise has real substance this time. It's been a very long tortuous wait but if things are now falling into place then this 'small' move up in the sp is just the start imo. Some positive news will really move the sp upwards quickly imo. Wonder if the 2 big trades this morning are based on some inside info?

Sp just gone into the blue, Was thinking maybe the 2 x 500k trades are some kind of a rollover but not sure. But now the sp has moved up then maybe something rather more interesting is occurring. Fingers crossed

Massive buy of 500k at over offer price yet the sp has not moved. Strange. Maybe the sp will react later. Big positive signal either way imo

Exactly, small free float and gold very bullish. Can't really understand why the sp is still at such a low level. Just have to wait and let the market do what it does. Big news getting ever closer though and when things do start to move here, the sp will move up big time imo

Agree there Bhargav. I'm focusing on a few key facts here. Newmont only invest when they have done their homework. They took ages to assess the GGP project but eventually walked there. That's another story.......They like what they see at OMI so they are in. Follow the money is a good strategy imo. Also the price of gold is moving up strongly due to several macro reasons, i believe. Also Despite the Uruguay saga dragging on for longer than i expected, the signs are positive imo and should be settled successfully in the coming weeks/months. So all in all, i am buying as much as i can, in this lull, as i see the sp being many multiples of the present price once things fall into place.

Wonder if this is around the low point now. Volume has dropped off and very few trades. Have given up trying to chase other shares. Way too risky and i tend to lose out. Just topping up here now and then. Only in OMI, and despite this being a very slow burner once positive news kicks on the Newmont front, of Uruguay front then thats when the fireworks really will begin imo. This time is getting ever closer so just waiting patiently.....
