Looks like more buys than sells yet sp down almost 10%. My small buy today is not showing and went through NEX. Wonder if today's drop is even related to buy/sell ratio. Yet another disappointing day. Wonder if the OMI board are even bothered about the constant fall in the sp?

Newmont are funding the operations for drilling in Columbia based on the deal they agreed with OMI so OMI do not have to worry with this aspect. I would asume OMI would have had a plan to deal with the day to day running of the company as such. Time will tell. Either way the present sp is way undervalued at this time imo. A bit of clarity from OMI would do wonders for the sp imo

Unbelieveably yes you are right....sp now well below what Newmont paid. Newmont have a wealth of knowledge and experience and don't invest in a company if they are not happy with what is there. So simply OMI must have a big resource just waiting to be dug up. The present market cap is ridiculously low and if anything OMI must be a target for other big players. The present lack of news no doubt is scaring many to sell and the MMs are just happy to compound the volatility it seems. Just cannot believe the sp is at this very low level. The all time low from looking back at the charts is just below 2p yet the high was over £3. Have bought some more today and my trade was done via NEX as usual.

With the recent Barrick news things do seem to be getting unclear here. Lack of drilling news is also causing more nervousness. It would at least settle nerves if OMI were to clarify the present state of affairs. Their quietness is not good from a shareholder point of view imo. Sentiment here has been rocked no doubt and the sp drama yesterday just highlights the nervousness here.

Agree. This drop is beyond belief.....this constant drop is way over the top and when the turn comes it will be very big imo and quick

I too am very pi**ed off with the way things are dragging here Bhargav but will keep holding and top up if it does go lower if I can but no one really knows if this will keep going lower. The sp could easily jump in an instant. I made a big mistake by bailing out of ggp around 1p mark and really regretted it and lost out big time. Won't make the same mistake here....eventually the sp will recover in a big way imo

I fully understand your view on things as they stand Bhargav...really wished omi and Newmont would bring out some positive news here. This has been lacking for way too long....my strategy is to just buy and hold. At some point the sp will be much higher than now imo

Taking a simple look at the chart, the lower level looks around the 4p mark based on support levels imo. However there are no guarantees it will reach this point. Aim and technicals dont always follow. The sp has fallen considerably over the last few months and it can jump back up very quickly any time imo....was going to see if it dropped to the lower 4p range but decided to just top up at 4.65p today and not risk waiting for a lower level

Wonder if people are actually selling or stop losses being hit?. Sp below what Newmont paid and can't believe people are selling for a profit at this time. I suspect stop losses are being hit and some are selling at a loss out of sheer boardom and frustration with the sp. Not many posts here anymore understandably. Wonder how low this can go before a bounce back. This drop has being going on for way too long imo so expecting a reversal any time. Time will tell

Another pathetic start with OMI. Seems it only knows how to drop. Can understand people getting fed up here and selling up. Often feel that way myself. Really just cannot understand the constant drop in the sp. Red day after red day here but aim does have a habit of surprising when you least expect it. I still believe OMI have massive gold deposits so will just keep holding as eventually the sp will turn back up in a big a big way imo, so despite feeling very fed up with the sp and the lack of any real positive news, I will just hold. I will just keep buying at lower levels when i can, as these low levels wont be here for too long imo

Since the sp has just fallen since Newmont got on board, i would be more than happy to have another party show their interest in OMI. The sp has performed very poorly for the last several months and really does need something positive to jump start it again. OMI is small fry for the biggar players so it would make sense for other big players to consider OMI

Hopefully this should be a positive for OMI whose sp has been getting pushed down unfairly imo for way too long. Newmont scathing about Barrick and rightly so. Newmont seem to be in a much better position compared to Barrick. Expecting a recovery tomorrow in the sp here.

Tough call. The sp has been falling for a long time now. Difficulty is sell now and the sp could recover very quickly...jumped ship myself on other shares and always seem to lose...will just stay here and top up when I can. Wonder if the Barrick thing is why the sp has been falling for so long

Still holding and will keeping buying when i can but the constant red here is beyond belief. We actually get some positive news for once here but volume remains pityful and the sp is in the red again. Really wish i could understand what is going on here. Never expected such a long drawn out time here with Newmont on board but nothing regarding aim should surprise me. I guess this will move up all of a sudden without warning but till then the sp performance has been very depressing for way too long.

This downtrend does seem endless. The sp just cant seem to stay at the very least steady without news. Disappointing that there been little positive news here since Newmont got on board. Really wish OMI/Newmont would get on with things here. Just a painful waiting game.

Agree. I think when news does drop, it will be significant and will cause the sp to move back up strongly. The longer the wait, the bigger the eventual move up imo. Seen many shares languishing at low points for a long time and then with the right news, they multiply upwards very quickly. I suspect this will happen to OMI. So while it is at this low point, makes sense to keep topping up imo

Seems very quiet here now, not surprising though as the sp languishes in this bottom range. Bought a few more and as usual my buy shows on NEX. Are the powers that be trying to mask buys. Strange, Either way, will just keep buying where i can. With such a long drawn out drop since Newmont got on board due to lack of news i suspect, at some point the sp will wake up. Just waiting for Newmont to do their thing and hopefully the sp will liven up big time.

Agree. Main points addressed. Nothing negative as such. Seems positive over all and seems confidence has been instilled imo. Would expect the sp to start the recovery now

Would expect the BoD are aware what they say will impact the market so surely they will be prepared to answer and clarify things as far as they can. They must know they are under a lot of pressure to come up with some positives. Makes no sense to do a confernece call and screw it up under the circumstances
