Very quiet here. No trades today and none on nex today or yesterday and very large spread. Seems MMs have closed up shop for the time being. Just tumbleweed here for now. Must be news from Newmont soon i would think. Calm before storm maybe?.

Surprised at the drop today bearing in mind a big hurdle has been overcome. Will never understand Aim. That said with a big negative out of the way we just await news from Newmont. They would have done a lot of due dilligence before investing. They know their stuff. Just have to wait a bit longer imo.

Agree mrdigit. Such a rise as today always attracts day traders who will always tend to sell when they make a small percentage increase. And as usual the sp starts to tail off in the latter part of the day. It is the way aim works. Now that some steam has come out of today's rise, the coming days actually look much better for a more sedate but sustained rise. One major obstacle has been removed and thus removed a lot of uncertainty, now we await further news from Newmont which could any time imo.

The sp has started to tail off as the day comes to a close. But the key thing is uncertainty about Uruguay has been removed. Aim always attracts pumpers and dumpers. It is what it is, however OMI have a massive asset and a big player signed up with them. Newmont know a good deal when they see one. You have to look at the biggar picture with OMI and as further news comes out, the sp will just go from strength to strength imo. Definitely one to hold for much bigger gains

Now a lot of uncertainty has been removed, i would think people would be less inclined to take a short term profit with much more confidence now of a much higher sp very soon. The omens are now very much in positive territory now. Even if the MMs try to take the sp down, i suspect it will just bounce back up very strongly as demand for shares will now be very high. Short supply, high demand is a great recipe for a much higher sp.

Indeed. Just the start of the re rate...confidence and positive sentiment at last means the sp will be much higher in a short space of time.

Thanks Spencer1471. Been a long tough ride here and finally we are starting to see some big positives. Buy low, sell high has always been the mantra with all kinds of investments and that definitely applies here. One massive hurdle has been sorted now and OMI seem to have alot of positive sentiment around it finally. Expecting some big moves upwards over the comings days/weeks finally......

No doubt the MMs will try and shake people out of their shares by manipulating the spread etc. Buying will also be restricted so those trying to day trade will get caught out easily. The trend is strongly up now and as the saying goes, 'follow the trend'.

Uncertainty has been removed after such a long time, whilst the sp has been surpressed equally as long. Now the anchor has been removed, i'm expecting a big move up in the sp. The trend will definitely be up now and the sp should move up very quickly with such a short supply and big demand. Double figures easily achievable in a very short time imo. Holding for massive gains..... :)

Finally some really positive news. Uruguay sorted at last. Now time for the sp to really start to motor upwards. Now the focus can be on what Newmont will find...Looking very positive here now...

"share price will reflect the value"...This is the key thing. Once Uruguay is sorted and Newmont start showing what they have found how high will the sp go????. Must be many multiples imo. That is why it is better to get in at the bottom when interest/sentiment is so low, and just wait for the re rate which will be very explosive imo... The sp is at the mercy of the shorters etc at the moment imo as positive news has been lacking here for so long but that will change very soon in a big way.

All the signs look good for a re bound and re rate of the sp soon imo. Uruguay has been a big anchor on the sp for a very long time, however this is getting so close to a positive conclusion after which the sp should really start to move back up as uncertainty and doubt is removed regarding Uruguay. Patience has been needed in very big doses but this should pay off very well in due course.

Don't normally take much notice of British bulls but maybe their buy signal was a reason for the rise like their sell signal previously resulted in the drop over the last few days. At this time seems the sp is easy to manipulate. Some positive news from Omi/Newmont should provide a stronger base for the sp in time

Mainly buys showing today with only a couple of trades showing on NEX. No rhyme or reason for the stronger positive day today as far as i can see but just shows how the sp can change all of a sudden. So risky trying to trade this share as it easy to get caught out. Hence why i just keep holding and topping up when i can and looking at the longer term picture. Expecting the sp to be many multiples of the present sp as further news develops here.

A little blue for a change. Majority of trades today were buys as well including NEX. Has the tide changed to the upside? Hope so. The drop from recent highs seems overdone imo so hope we can see a lot more blue going forward now. Agree Bhargav once the loose ends are tided up then we should see some fireworks here and not before time. Holding and accumulating whilst the sp is in the doldrums. The signs are good imo despite the slow progress here.

Very quiet here today, only a few trades mainly on NEX. Managed to get a few £s together to do a small top up. Not sure if the sp will go lower but it seems it has dropped by a fair amount over the last few days, with no bad news as such, and is due a recovery imo so was eager to get what i could. It has been a long slow waiting game here but getting closer to something very positive imo.

Really can't understand this constant drop...will like to buy more but no funds....Can't imagine the sp will stay at these low levels for much longer...

We have a had a run of down days after the last RNS. Very disappointing, however i expect the sp to shoot back up in an instant as people look to buy back in at bargain basement prices. No doubt people are looking for entry points or topping up imo. At this present sp it is a gift imo, just wish i had funds to top up as i would be getting as many as i could.

The joys of aim... :( ...not...One day this will come good but seems the sp gets punished easily despite so much potential. Very disappointing

Agree Bhargav. Things are getting ever closer to fruition here despite the seemingly slow pace especially regarding the sp. Have been in aim for many years and come to the conclusion the only way to make a big return is to hold a share from the early stage of a potential re rate such as OMI. This is why i have been in OMI for about 1 year now and have been topping up since then. I believe OMI have all the characteristices of a massive future re rate, with all the things in play here, so will keep holding and top up when i can as eventually a big re rate will come imo
