It was a TNCP and means “Non Price Contribution to Discovery” = an internally generated private transaction not fundamental to today's deals.

Also, I note MarineTraffic are blocking off current movements unless one is a paid up client. Presumably we have shown too much interest in Valaris 107.

At the present rate of progress Nick and I would be better off either erecting a boma at the Botswana prospect or joining up to fish for galjoen down at Cape Hangklip for a few weeks. There's not much point wading around in wellies at Kabompo Dome for four months. A big disappointment after all the hype in Q1.

On a positive note I enjoyed reading the link below and studying the triple Khoemacau boxcuts. The sand cover of ~100 m is double what was first estimated but easily excavated.

Have spent a bit of time studying offshore drilling, subsea trees and ancillary equipment.
Very useful when considering the complexity of the engineering work
and a fairly substantial JSE investment.

Normand Swan is manoeuvring around the rig whilst MMA Vigilant is standing off 4 miles ESE. An auxiliary vessel, Stenella, has been around Montara Venture for a couple of days. Two other tugs returned to Darwin, possibly including taking on bunkers for the tow to Buffalo field. (a guess only)

Remarkable to note that many think the rig delay is wholly JSE's fault without attaching any incompetence to the rig crew. It was not a straightforward procedure. Just hope none of them are transferred to the Buffalo payroll. (I am in both stocks.)

So, either extra barges have materialised or Iquitos is somehow absorbing much more than its capacity allows. Manaus surely is a separate conduit not to be included in ONP fiscalisation per se. (Or perhaps it is??).

Until now I thought Novum was PTAL's only carrier to Manaus.

Thought we might be in for a spot of bother at Skua, having noted another dive utility vessel on station last week . . . but then it's at best all guesswork. Either way there are quite a few tugs/supply ships on the scene.

Trying to see where Tharisa is going to take us if PP is speaking of local potential. Offhand I'd say many elements are at surface, ideal for open-pit exploitation.

In the past SA's tendency has been to pull minerals out of the ground and send them all over the world without adding value. I might stay on board for quite some time to see where the company is going. Open pit opportunities in the Bushveld complex are still numerous.
