Watch out for a contraindication on the arbitrage before buying. There was a 2-cent blip (minus at 09:30 ET but having recovered it should now be okay.
59c with some steady buying. After another blip normal service should resume in London tomorrow. Just have to hang in until 10H comes onstream. Constitucion field news would be very welcome. That last sabotage act was many miles to the west of Station #5, Datem del Marañón, at Pucará district . There's a road in the vicinity making theft much easier.
With market conditions as they are it would be a surprise if SOUC, IOG and KIST do not thrive over the next 3 years. IA has undertaken to announce progress as and when EnergyDrilling move their rig along the track.
A step change will come at some point. I feel a damn sight more confident here than with Sukari and its west wall . . . and am at least familiar with its area of operations.
Reached 46c @ 12:30 ET (27p). On successful outcome of horizontals in next 6 weeks the SP could reflect a very rapid transformation. The arbitrage factor should in the meantime be taken into account. Gwinville, Mississippi, could be the catalyst.
Big start on TSX @ 60c - a new record. I have switched on the link owing to close watch there on both PTAL and SOUC. Have high hopes on the latter's 3-well horizontal drilling. Doubtful both can hold present levels for long.
As TAL:TSX is holding up reasonably well I squeezed in a small order at the bell. Production numbers remain solid and the next well will add to them sabotage and theft notwithstanding.
Hammerfest have further delays and IOG Bacton must really get a hurry on : Turning the taps on next week (with luck) will repair the company's reputation to some extent. Foot-dragging has implied inefficiencies impacting investor attitudes and confidence.
I am one of them which has meant late entry into SOUC owing to familiarity with the Mississippian and the Deep South. My preference of course would have been to pile in to IOG with bigger numbers. At least I have accumulated fair knowledge of the North Sea's "doggerbank".
After further examination I took up a small 4k wedge as there is some confidence the 3-well programme will have good flow rates. Current H-H tariff should speed up payback. A good piece of promotion below:
Have postponed for the present, adding to IOG, which is closer to fruition. And was wrong on horizontal drilling costs which are more applicable to the Bakken. Each of the three wells is circa $3m, I believe.
Have left it a bit late for a final add-on but a few like-minded folk seem to be doing the same. As already stated I hope, all being well, to be here for quite a long time.
10-minute intro. As I am rather partial to the JSE-type model here is yet another opportunity to pore over. Spoilt for choice at present. Should have followed it sooner but not possible to be everywhere. Subject to fracking results IA intends to finance development from the 3-well programme.
Will have a look. Some reading required on the Mississippian and there's a guy by name of Snead, Broken Arrow, who has a canny eye and knack of buying up leasehold parcels.
A lot to be examined, including royalties. Rather spoilt for choice at present but 1-mile fracking prospects are appealing. Will also check earthquake factors, e.g. in OK.
Other than THS I don't invest in any SA companies. After my 30 years in southern Africa I had had enough. Getting mugged and robbed is not my idea of fun. I had forgotten about Sasol's Lake Charles indaba.
In terms of the Deep South I'm having a look at a recent listing (SOUC) in the Mississippian which may become my sole interest in the Louisiana salt basin; I certainly know a fair amount about it.
PTAL is now well placed and I'll be scratching around for more geld/wonga. Toronto has reached 59c and should cross into the 60s all being well. We remain off the pace here. Gelukwens.
