An interesting three trading days this week. Having added first thing this morning I note modest SP movement. Unable to ascertain the variables and short-term progress on JSE vs PTAL so am now in them on a 50:50 basis.

I also feel PB gave a fairly strong hint of another acquisition in the pipeline and therefore await developments

Having examined the minutiae I am very hopeful on the location.
Perhaps over-optimistic on staged updates for the three horizontals as they are on batch drilling. Even so I bought a fair wedge in case IA puts out interim progress reports before April.

Last fertiliser exercise goes back to one of my first investments in Langebaan (SA Fertilisers)(phosphate granular)(1970s) and I haven't been anywhere near the subject since. HMI, if guidance is confirmed, represents an opportunity to put matters right. One or two posters have attracted me to the board. Thanks.

@17:41 - I certainly agree with every one of his sentiments. Spending as much time as EZ does in East Africa is a tough ask. Perhaps the company has a chartered Cessna to help get him around the various sites. The New Luika airstrip has been upgraded in the past three years but Singida is a rough ride. Unless he risks his neck on the Kakamega strip presumably Kisume airport is the venue.

On the other hand Eric, I think, had good grounding in Ulaanbaatar surroundings where he cut his teeth. In his youth he possibly spent many a day up in the Rockies in an RV so Kenya and Tanz are a comparative stroll.

If I had my time again as a geologist the huge Mt Elgon volcano would be absorbing and yield multiple mineralisation(s) in its shadow. The possibilities for establishing a large gold mine in the Lihranda corridor must be very good in the next three years.

With hindsight now a few of us probably got a bit carried away by immense prospects. The present scene is bigger and better on sound footing.

It's becoming difficult to follow Shanta's spread of interests.
Relatively straightforward when they were confined to Bushi/Isulu.
We are now drilling in Siaya and Vihiga counties.
A few months ago Ramula came into the frame and now Bombo is being tested.

Whilst I might have some familiarity with the extent of informal mining activities Eric and Yuri have taken exploration to an entirely new level. It is possible their first guidance is to locate various open pits/tunnels and take it from there.

Even more interesting is to note some probes are reaching 600 m.
Offhand I'd say the next two years will be captivating for many.
And important news should emerge on WK in a fortnight.

@12:27 answer - Generally some logic is applied when examining the O&G sector. in terms of the question some of it is successful and others not so. One word to have been adopted - "strategic" - was included in the decision.

AIM possibilities included IOG, KIST and SQZ. I was briefly in KIST and left it with 10+% . . . temporarily and not a choice willingly made. IOG became the target primarily because i can not be allowed to fail. Its North Sea assets are critically important. There was an alternative in DELT but the choice is a la Paul Blakeley, i.e. established criteria to be adhered to. Regrettably DELT had to be left off the list.

One exception is SOUC where I have been in touch with the company and understand the geology of the Gwinville basin. Similar logic has been applied to JSE and PTAL. The latter can not be allowed to fail.

Southwark is something of a conundrum. If fundamentally flawed the company should perhaps cease foot-dragging and proceed without it for the time being. And I regard Bacton as a separate issue.
