Would it be fair to say much of next week's action is dependent on remaining options being fed on to the market? Buying in the last two days has been constant suggesting everything is being taken up when stock becomes available.

TSX has already logged 2.07m this morning which suggests a fair number of employees continue to cash in.

Although PB has been in the background from the beginning he can not - on the strength of his (non)performance with TXP - be regarded as a bonus for SOUC.

Even if HH is about to cross $8 nothing is going to arrest the SP slide at present. The FTSE All Share Index has collapsed 3.12% today. Everything has been affected.

$7.85 and climbing. I'm informed a return to nearly $9 is probable.

WH Ireland's revised analysis could/should prove to be correct. Recently my attention has been drawn to the safer haven of emerging, profitable producers reflecting dividend returns. i3E is heading the list.

Rising living costs are unlikely to impact me in the medium term. All the government handouts - council tax, energy and winter fuel relief - ease matters. Perhaps I can do more contributing to charities and food banks.

Have just finished with some Canadian chat. Although none of it can be confirmed until another 2 - 3 months have elapsed rough calculations suggest total production revenue after clean-up will be $5m p/m from the three Mt Olive wells (or $63m p.a. at today's HH of $7). (Working on the heavily reduced tariff seems the way to go.)

SOUC will remain as is for reasons of a low entry point/average. Focus is on i3E, PTAL and others.

I give most of it (incl. I3E, JSE, SQZ) a tick but am now cautious on assertions with nearly all of them. My bias on THS has been badly exposed although the stockholding has remained untouched. Belief will continue but I have to admit to a couple of reversals where it was fortunate to escape unscathed.

SLP, where I had a fair sum (but exited @ £1.10) is another surprise. And they have been busy with buybacks which have had no effect in arresting the slide. I obviously would hope THS gets back to £1.70 very soon.

Toronto close is hardly convincing. Whether share options have had a bearing on performance is an unknown. My stake will continue to increase by at least the monthly divi return and at the same time awaiting results of more Montney wells and the Serenity spud. Reaching 60p within weeks is not a priority.

@ 15:27 - Yes, and what an opportunity to double down on SOUC. Tempted to rob i3E or a.n.other for the exercise but have resisted. I look forward to getting through the 30s here.

Maybe an opportunity to add. Will check to see if our gas is collected at Pascagoula. Either way terminal fires have occurred in the past and the industry has survived. In the meantime the southern states are experiencing a heatwave: aircons will be going full tilt.

4P - I have plugged SOUC beyond acceptable limits. Ian Atkinson is the proper guide. Everything else is rumour. I do, however, have contacts in Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver. Yet one of them, Shubham Garg, who has spoken to management is fairly enthusiastic although he has not included the stock in his p/f. He may change his mind when I speak with him next.

The bid is 89p at present. It can only be regarded as a success if it crosses £1 following recent induction to AIM.

Thanks, Bunkatron. Whilst i3E is now a p/f fixture I am on board with PTAL and have been since 14.5p days. AXL - pending tonight's presidential outcome - is likely to be my next project. In the meantime every monthly dividend $ is going back into i3E.

HELI.V anchored by its modest monthly returns deserves inspection. My preference is generally to take up opportunities in known regions. In that respect HE1 holds my attention as Rukwa is familiar territory (but not engaged to date). Worsley acreage, one of their primary development targets, will now be studied.

MT posts are always read for his extensive sector knowledge. His starting point was probably JSE and study could have expanded since 50p days. I look forward to renewed momentum on that one.
