West Africa - I need to do a search tomorrow unless someone has facts at their fingertips, namely --
a precise timeframe on one or more drilling targets in the two W African operations.
Also, there is quite a mighty programme on at least three Sukari (and environs) fronts.
Otherwise I am fairly satisfied after only having been here for a relatively short time.

Geita is a giant. NLGM is in its infancy. With its apparent multi targets I was trying to determine from the Mwanza characteristics if Saza (NLGM) could eventually replicate the AngloAshanti mine. Probably not although some geo similarities are apparent. And then this morning comes the announcement.

The company attracts "top" individuals. We really needed someone with Lake Victoria greenstone expertise. Have felt for a long time that the sprawling Mt Elgon complex has hidden secrets.

Am now satisfied i.r.o. previous unknowns. Have added and hope to repeat the exercise after escaping the clutches of SOLG. The company should do very well this year.

Have added a bit more but could do without II disposals which interfere with what would otherwise be smooth progress. Indeed it's difficult to fathom the reasoning behind the actions.

Also had been trying to determine the onsite rig's manufacturer as it would be handy to know if it is a type that handles extra rods on the carousel. If so it would ideally reach 100 metres . . . but have concluded it's maximum reach is 50 m (155 ft) on the vertical. Therefore we should anticipate that exploration in the first instance will be confined to open pit operations. Makes sense as this m-o was Acacia's.

Mr Z is almost certainly itching to launch his next RNS to kick-start the share price. D))

Please note I have never set foot on that part of Egypt and therefore can not claim to have any local knowledge. Whereas I can rattle on for hours about the Vaal Triangle and Mpumalanga. Too many Sukari geological unknowns are present to this fella. That said, I believe some big strides have been taken to arrest the problem. It is the area immediately to the west of the excavation that bothered me in the first instance.

I looked at the above last night with a tired eye and ideally must go through it again. Few papers are available on open pit movement. Palaborwa is the best example known to me although no two events are the same.

Give me a tour of the license area, study of contours, detail on rock porosity and other features. Determine water runoff/watershed, storage dams and iron-clad controls. Acid mine drainage is a subject I can engage all night. In sum I believe Alpala will go ahead but only after one of the other tenements if they happen to be easier nuts to crack.

Like others I have become uneasy over the company's bed-fellows.

Thought I would do another check on sketchy subsidence knowledge as it formed part of an investment decision in CEY. Also, perhaps the decline angle at Sukari isn't as bad as some of us fear. Then again we know little of rock composition and porosity.

Being decidedly sceptical of NM's capabilities at present I'll steer clear of any contentious debate. Proceeding with the project requires extremely high skillsets. The present corporate structure is short of them. I draw on my SA mining knowledge and use Palaborwa as a prime example. It faced major structural/subsidence and other complications in the early2000s.

The mine now has a 70% (I think) Chinese presence and possibly nearly 30 years' life left in it. Deep throat mining requires much more than what NM thinks will be adequate from his boardroom.
