Do we know exactly how much Glencore / Xstrata invested here? Was it circa £300m?

Very unhappy with the management on this one. They have to go for this debacle. Out of their depth. Fortunately I have only a very small holding but the principle does not sit right. I will add to my other house builder stocks but no more here.

Hmm seems like you are posting the same elsewhere. You won't move stocks like these on share forums. Fund managers can stick £10m in at the drop of a hat.

Bit of a disaster short term. Glad I sold my original stake though obviously now wish I had sold the lot. Time to generate cash elsewhere and buy back in July before the herd arrive again in late August.

Been some good opportunities to accumulate recently. Did you pick some up sub 1100p? I topped up twice in the 10s, hoping my plan to now just reinvest any dividends pays off longer term.

I bet the Isle of Dogs has changed alot since then bubbles. Since I last worked there in 2006 the changes have been massive. I was sad to see a great pub called the Spinnaker turn into a supermarket :(

I think shareholders all agree that the current share price is extremely low. Given the extent of the drop during this difficult time for the markets, I wondered how this has changed/not changed peoples' share price targets? Is there a risk we will be taken out on the cheap for?

It has only gone up 1p. Nice to see some action but I certainly don't see this as a huge rise.

5p is still a joke price. I would rather offers come in when the price is 20p plus.

I don't think you can deny that that post could be interpreted quite understandably as comparing Boris Johnson to Hitler. That is how it read to me.

I will not deny that I dislike Tim Martin. Though the reason is not so much our differing views on Breixt. More, the pig headed nature of the man and using Wetherspoons to convey his views. I think those 2 things should be kept separate. It is very distasteful.

Back to the share price here. It is not unreasonable to expect a large drop on Monday and some panic given we do not know how long the pubs may be shut for. I stand by my view that it could not happen to a nicer person due to the points expressed above.

With all due respect those of us who remember 2008 will remember you could buy Legal and General at 59p and Taylor Wimpey for 5p, for example. Those 2 come to mind as I bought them but there were many more. Look what happened to companies like those over the next few years. This is a buying opportunity across the market that you will not see for 10 years' plus.
