Thats true, but the Argentineans are not logical. To divert public attention from their own failings they whip up the Latino hysteria, and the population have grown up with the belief that the FIs belong to the Argentine. Britain invited them to take their claim to the International Court of the Hague in 1947, 1948, and 1949 for mediation, but the Argentine refused.....One can only draw the conclusion that they were not confident that they had a case. So the conclusion we can draw from that is although the have no real claim to the Falklands, they want them and want the UK to hand them over to them. The reasons for this, as I have said before, is because it will give them control of nearly the whole of the South Atlantic and British Anarctica. Oil is a new thing. The Referendum to be held in the FIs will give them a lot more clout with the UN, but I doubt it will do much to stop the Argentine from banging away about wanting the FIs . They are just irational, and some would call them a banana republic
