The peitition needs everybody, they won't even look at it under 10,000 signature. Seems strange it is so slow picking up because, afterall, every investor in shale has a stake in trying to get it moving . Get cracking with fracking !

I don't think that politicians have got the guts in the UK and nobody wants to put his/her nose first so they all sit back watching each other. So even though we have had statements of intent from the government, so far it has stalled . It is going to take at least one breakthrough and one which the politicians can afterwards claim credit for. Then the flood gates should open. It is ludicrous really some 6 years after they pinpointed a Shale potential in the UK that nothing has yet been produced. Meantime, the countrie's balance of payments has been knocked about by importing oil and gas

If the deal goes through Igas states there will be a significant dilution of share holders. Do they man a dilution of shares ?, or the number of shares on offer. Or, worst case scenario something like 1 share for 5 shares or even higher . Anybody uptospeed on this latest iGas contortion ?

I invested in this when it was over £1, and I have wiped about £6000 off of my investment . Feel that to sell would be pointless might as well hang on to see if there is an upturn. Second time I have been caught out by OPEC lost a bit on CAZA which went through similar contortions as Igas, and like Igas were actually producing oil when they went under with an offer of 1 new share for 500,000 old shares. Still got a feeling that there is somebody out there who would love to buy into iGas . Also got the feeling that the BoD did not want to lose their individual powers in a merged company and may have resisted it for the sake of vanity ?

Otherwise known as the Stockbroker belt. Since they undoubtedly own a lot of shares in oilies elsewhere in the world they, of course, should be happy that oil has been found nearby ? :))

Well when you consider that it has been over 6 years now and they still do not have a puff of shale gas to sell on the markets, it makes you wonder what the politicians are doing, or not in this case

That was interesting. As I have voiced before, to my mind Igas is like a rabbit caught in the headlights. It is frozen, even though there are many avenues of escape still open to them. They are asset rich and they could sell something off to get them out of a jam. They could farm out, they are doing nothing, although they do say that they are in talks. I note that Brent Crude is $55.75 today, that is up considerably on a few months ago. So assuming that they are still producing c. 3000 brls per day and they are taking in an extra $20-25 per barrel per day above what they taking a year ago Llet others do the maths !

Although I think it is a smart move to cascade events, I imagine that the North Lincs council will shuffle one into the other i.e. come back with since a new planning request has been submitted, they will make the appeal dependent upon the outcome of the PP. Shuffling is an acknowledged official way of losing the impact of something.

It is the decade way that business deals with authority, for planning permission, in England. For that reason they do not appear to have had an immediate fall-back position, if there was a refusal (at least nothing that they have told us about) and now they have to come up with something. I was in the military for many years and just about anything everything had a continguincy plan, known as what/if . Since shareholders are the owners of the company, one would think that they might tell us something about their what/if plan

I get a gut feeling about Wressle, something is not right with regards to the refusal . There does not appear to be any legal, or lasting environmental grounds for refusal. In my opinion, of course, the North Lincs council needs to be scrutinised very closely on this matter

Ah you are back again and still peddling doom and gloom, IC. I don't know where you get your information from, but if it is true then you could legally construed as aiding and abetting, if your source has absolute proof that Shale is not going anwhere. You have better come clean and tell us you proof and the source ! ?
