Hi Mark The Fatalistic Times are notorious for doom and gloom, we were all supposed to be on the bread line this far away from Brexit. The seem to cornered the market for stories of financial collapse. One thing that is in the favour, when they report something, then it is not likely to happen !

So keen to hold onto their jobs on the BoD that they will restructure rather than go into another company such as Total, or another oilie From what I know of restructuring it often leads to a share consolidation, so if one is holding, say, 50,000, shares they would be lucky to come out of it with 1000. Of course they are still worth the same but the SP does not move much after that . I think that the company ought to offer alternatives for the PIs to pick and choose over. You are right. The UK was the first nation in the world to have commercial nuclear power station. Now we want to import the technology from China and France (indeed it was the UK which worked out the principle of the atomic bomb and what was the critical mass - then passed it to the Americans in WW2) We have find farms growing out of the North Sea, but nobody makes the turbines in the UK. We were the first in the world to have railways, now we import the technology from Germany. I am sure that it won't be long before the air we breath has to be imported from Senegal !

I have noted that in 2015 you voted against a ban on fracking. Exploratory fracking for Shale gas started in 2011 and, to-date, not even enough Shale gas has be brought to the surface to  fill a cigarette lighter. It is ridiculous that this country of Great Britain, once the  fore runner of ‘can-do’ nations of the world, now finds itself unable to proceed with such a vital project which will be worth  billions to the economy and greatly assist the balance of  payments. There seems to be something wrong with the system of  applications where everything is done in ‘decade’, whereas it should be possible for applications (and anything else) to frack for Shale to be presented cascade; Should not an application  arrive on the desks of all interested parties on the same day ? Addressed parties do not have to action the parts of an application which are not relevant to them The petition below is going very very slowly, in the main, because the pro fracking organisation(s) are not mobilised. I know when the fracking moratorium was overturned in 2015 ?   There were pages of MPs who voted to allow fracking to resume and, I note, that your name was included the resume vote. Unfortunately so many 'usually younger people' have been hoodwinked by statements by Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace. In other places we have report of cattle dyiing in fields and flu like symptoms. Let us get it in context. Fracking in American has halved the price of oil on the international markets. Are the FP and FoI adherents refusing to pay lower prices to fill their cars ? Not at all they are enjoying and extra £30 per month cash from the lower prices that they are paying. The real reason that FoI and GP are so verciferous about fracking is because the object to the use of fossil fuels, but still turn their gas central heating up on chilly nights. . Well in the last 750,000 years Great Britain has suffered 4 ice ages and the last one only stopped 11,000 years ago, and some of them lasted for more than 100,000 years. The truth is that the planet warms up and cools down naturally it has always done this and it always will, and unless GP and FoI are able to adopt God-like powers, then they are in the position of telling the tide not to come in Canute style .Moreover, Great Britain is heading North and in a few million years it will be ice-bound and virtually uninhabitable and this will continue until the point where it comes up against the Pacifc plate and will probably be subducted to be spewed forth over the years from volcanoes as molten lava . So there is no such thing as an OPTIMUM CLIMATE, or static geography, it is always changing

I agree in my opinion, you are absolutely right . I haven't kept track of incentive shares issued. Have they been paying themselves share bonuses during this decline ?
