Oh don't believe the pundits who say hopefully the oil price will go up . Why should it , it has already been knocked down by Shale and more and more countries will be tapped into shale over the next 10 years. The demand for oil will not go away, of course, However, OPEC countries have to make enough money to pay for their infrastructure back home and as this has been largely based upon a higher oil price, they must be struggling to pay their internal costs.The days when OPEC could hold the West to ransome are all but finished. Maybe a feeble revival for a while. But, oil is so strategic I can't see a government letting a good UK source being shut down . There are ways such as tax breaks. Such help for industry is not possible while we are in the EU, because it offends the Treaty of Rome, but once we are our then the government have a free hand to help emergent businesses, as they see fit

Not quite right Rogue because the UK have announced that they will compensate people with payments of up to £10,000 for those directely affected by shale exploration nearby. I think you have got to be on top of the well to get the £10,000 but within a hundred yards, or so , it could be a significant payment. As for America, whew I can't see that a home owner can own right the way down to the centre of the Earth, it is not reasonable, and it would take some maths to work out, especially if the drill was very close to the border with another property, because you are virtually sitting on a slice of cake, getting narrower all the way down. Then, of course the drill might be on your land, but the resevoir extends under adjacent properties . Keep lawyers arguing for years, but thankfully only in America !

Oh come on now, there is no PI in here who could either ramp, or deramp this SP. To ramp and deramp you need to have influence and one that is acknowledged in the stocks and shares market, not just some individual with 10,000 shares saying that he/she can see no future, or they can see large gains, in this share. You can, of course, ramp and deramp if you hold upwards of, say, 15,000,000. Purchase them in 1,000,000 blocks over a period of a couple of days, or sell them the same way, depending upon your motive . Well I feel that Igas have acted like a rabbit in the headlights in the past IMO a change of the Board would be a step forward and their SP is now not defensible . Anyway, provided they do not remain frozen awaiting slaughter, there are things that they can do, the first of which is to go into partnership with a large oillie who can buy up the bonds which are causing the problem. Such an merger would also lift the Igas SP..... but now we have a golf fixture next week !

It will touch 20pps again, remember it touched that last time when we all thought that PP was to be given, but it has only been shelved one month. Oh I have just had an E-mail from GP, we exchange them from time to time on the subject of global warming.I have pointed out to them that the world has warmed up and cooled down possibly hundreds of times in the past, the UK itself has been under water many times too. It is a natural process, you can't stop it. Anyway, the upshot was quite a Communist response about self seeking profit orientated people and market forces. Anyway I have pointed out that the clothes they are wearing were produced by these self seeking people . The tv they use and the computer they using to reply to me. The light switch they press, the car they drive in the bus or train they take and the house they live in. They enjoy all these things but like so many left wing loonies are full of what 'they', meaning, other people, ought to do ,whilst simultaneously delighting in living in a modern world where all these marvels they take for granted have, and do use energy and efforts of entrepeneurs

Thanks Rogue I am aware of the acerage. I am also aware that two wells have been drilled in it and were disappointing.I am also aware that FOGL owned thousands of miles of rights and carried out the most expensive 2D and 3D surveys and had brilliant Competent Person's Reports . I lost a lot on FOGL and the paid soothesayers . The only proof is 'results' , anything else is speculation .I hope that they are right this time !
