Yes you are invested in a worthwhile project and you should have a nice warm feeling about all the jobs that are
being created and that the mine is going ahead
But you are looking at the investment as a glass half empty - sure your timing was b.poor and you have nothing to show after 6 years but after 11 or 12 years the shares will be worth 4 times what you paid for them - that's a return of about 12% p.a. - which is a lot better than Nationwide offer.
Lock the things away and don't even peek for the next 4 or 5 years :)

Just looked at their web site - where you can look up all their holdings- and they now own 220m SXX shares in two funds - 192m in one fund and 28m in another - so it looks as if recent sales have all come from the one fund - the funds have total assets of about $40 billion and $35 billion so indeed SXX is tiny on their scale of things
