Looks like a deal is likely after Scott did his deal. Buying pressure seems to hold that to be true.
BUT we don't know terms of the deal with Total? do we?
Suppose it's for one drill, hopefully for four but it could be one drill.
The key question is what costs do they want from us? Will we need to fund raise? If sovwevwill have to take some dilution on the chin. That would be a real party poopers.
Also remember Scott won't give a flying. He's got his dosh and is virtually out of the deal, so he will recommend signing us overvto the devil without a thought.
If we do fund raise let's hope vthe offer is open to pis and not pre arranged at mate's rates to institutions.

The reason for the rise in my view was the RNS stating that Potter, the CEO gets a special deal.
Ask yourself why and the possible answers are mostly if not all positive.

That leads to speculation that a deal is close. If so the rise will be astronomic. That has caused positive vibes around the market for BPC.

If it continues to rise in price then it's even more likely news is leaking, and game on.

Bryonjon, I know you won't believe vthis but yes I've been on opiod pain killers for three weeks now. How did you guess/know.
I don't want to ramp but taking into consideration there is still a gamble in a buy out for the major oil company involved I don't want to say it's going to be more than 40p and be left with egg or opiods on my face.

Just to let newer holders know there is oil there for sure. In excess of 16 billion barrels.
So why has it taken so long to move forward with BPC? Firstly it's a deep sea drill and the expenses scared many companies away. Now technology and costings have improved.
Secondly environmental scares put exploration in this part of the world on hold after the BP Gulf spills.
Thirdly the BOD have been in no hurry as they have been taking large salaries for doing nothing.
If a major oil company exploits the resources and hits the mother load early then we will be above a quid.
Yes laugh if you want, but I am an old guy who has researched BPC for a good few years. I'm not ramping just trying to help.
Please hold on announcement. You will not see true value for a few days until institutions buy in.

Bongabob good to see that post. I was there with you in those days, all the way. Should have sold in the twenties but was an idiot and always believed a deal imminent. So here I am years later only this time because Scott is being 'bought out' in effect something is definitely happening.
Otherwise why give an incompetent CEO such a reward. He should have been fired many moons ago but has used BPC as a salary Cash cow. He needs to just pee off for good and it looks like that is finally going to become reality.
If we get a deal both of us know we will quadruple our money within a few days. Atb

I've been here hell of a long time and just wanted to share what I know. There are millions of barrels with a 50 percent COS. We just need a major to help with costs and where with all.
Announce a deal and we are well into the twenties. Maybe much more but I am not here as a camper gone tomorrow sort of guy.
So bring on the deal. PRETTY PLEASE.

That's why I've already posted begging fellow investors to Google it.
I am a long term holder, once holding 700k shares.
When I did my original research I did find history of drilling success off the Bahamas.

Please Kap do some googling and it will be there.

I implore any holders to look at the history of drilling off the Bahamas. Google it and the earlier successes are there to sea. It never continued because of the deep sea element, lack of advanced technology and cost.
BUT the key factor is that the oil IS THERE.
Although I only hold 300k shares I will look to add from profits made on RPT.

I've been a long term holder, back in the days of 20p plus without a partner. So I'm very very confident that if we announce a good partnership deal we will hit 30p AND that's BEFORE we even Spud.

If you look back some good few years there was a successful drill and commercial oil within the same licence area owned now by BPC.
My view is get a partner over the line and we would be looking at a 50 percent COS.
