Hi LT, Its a strange situation, as both reports in 2021 and 2022 do say CC have been awarded deal/s by India (either £5 m, or 18m or both), yet this was some time ago and the UK /India Trade deal is still being finalised, so very unlikely any financial transactions are presently occurring.

So what could these awards be for? They are obviously not for some services that are desperately time, or needs based.

And is does stipulate that Cyan's deal was one of 20 "export deals " clinched by British firms. So export from UK, to India.

The communication modules are now made in India as well as other places, so can only be software or consultancy or India may wish to import more of CCs modules than can be made in India, which is a fanciful guess !

Does anyone know what happened to the these trade deals announced below, one in May 2021 , and the other April 22. Are these slow burner deals, or have they been scrapped, along with BJ.

In May 21 UK Government announced "Prime Minister announces £1 billion of new UK-India trade"

KPDCL will go ahead and install smart meters regardless, just as they did previously, despite similar protests.

"Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Thursday said that there was no alternative to the installation of smart meters and that the meters will be installed across Kashmir.

Smart meters have to be installed today, as well as in the future,” he said.

As you have witnessed, protests have occurred in the past, but nothing significant resulted from them, and ultimately, the smart meters were installed,” he said.

While addressing concerns about flat rates in the downtown area, he clarified, “There is no such thing, and just like in other places, smart meters will also be installed downtown as well as throughout Kashmir.”

A study conducted in 2020 found that around 15% of people in India did not have access to electricity , not connected to the the grid. With the population of India today at 1,420,829,961 on 9th July 20203 ! That would be approx. 213 m people with no electricity.

I am sure that this number has been massively reduced these past three years but the very same people who only three years ago had no power are now being given state of the art smart meters to monitor their activities -what a transition for these people - and in just a few years !

Protests would be expected and I think that's part B of the rollout , the education and awareness raising of a population that is just embarking on a new age energy revolution at warp speed.

I have been busy all day, so sorry for the reply.

I did not read anything in todays RNS that worries me, as CCs progress at present and this following year is directly aligned with the progress of the Indian rollout...which as we know is still taking baby steps.

It seems to me that the choice of communication platform to be utilised in any given tender in India falls on the AMISP , responsible for each specific tender.

The fact that Genus will now have the resources to become a AMISP , possibly for several contracts along with IntelliSmart, can only strengthens CCs position.

Do you, or anyone know the names of other confirmed AMISP s, working in the Indian smart meter rollout.

Good to see Awards appearing.. Do you have any thoughts on why they are awarding only part amounts of the total sanctioned meters for each region. You would think for the sake of future planning etc that each prime contractor who wins the tender would need to know exactly the numbers, and solutions that they require to meet the SLA.

E.G Todays Tata award is a part award of approx.. 1.8 m against a total of sanctioned meters of approx. 5.9m .

Do you think Tata have won the entire award for 5.9m as prime contractor ( Amsp!), or will there be further tenders in future, for rest of sanctioned meters.

What i mean to say is does Tata now have full control of the 5.9 m Chhattisgarh meters that were originally sanctioned.

If so, why wasn't the full 5.9m not awarded today, instead of the 1.8 m ? Would hep with planning.

Just trying to understand !

Do you think there is a understanding that a part award of tender , equates to full award of all sanctioned meters in that region ?

Obviously, after that the communication system used, and who they sub contract too, is down to local regional requirements.

Any help you or anyone else here can provide would be appreciated.

If you read the tender the meters manufactures need to meet the 99.5% success rate at every time interval, all times of day and night, and even for disaster mode. The document is scattered with 99.5% targets, if less there are penalties.

"following metrices will be considered for SLA in case of disaster for application availability, recovery point objective (RPO)and recovery time objective (RTO)Application Availability 99.5%"

Am I right in thinking CC are the only solution that can achieve this? I'm sure its one of their USPs

Just fourteen trades showing so far today on LSE, all relatively small, and also most bunched together - So I would guess that most of todays sells are from the same investor, someone who needs to sell.

Just did a quick search through it, and Q57 and Q 110 are relevant but probably a lot more if someone where to read it all.

It seems that they are saying that thee 9% of meters presently no live, will mostly be fixable. However, there is a hardcore 0.75% of ten in basements in city's where they are working on this AltHans solution.

telephone provider, but we have built a system that is covering 99.25%

of the population. There are a few hundred thousand homes that sit in

the 0.75%, but the coverage of the wide area network across GB is

99.25%."

particular option that is interesting. In effect, with the consumer’s
