Presently an absolute news blackout of further awards in India since the recent Polaris one ..i even thought it may be due to some religious observation period ..but cant even find evidence of that either ....so we are due some catch-up shortly ..as time marches on, this rollout is must surely p[progress with some urgency....the awards to the AMISPs have started a while ago and well publicised but even still much further to go - I'm wondering whether AMISPs are holding back on different awards to sub contractors , as they win them, so to negotiate better terms as the quantities increase...

Just a thought as i have no idea what's holding these guys back....

Regarding the RNS dated 31/10/23 relating to three more order wins - it states that two are for nuclear security and Interestingly the third is ..." for the further development of the Group’s bio-security technology.", so chemical.

Just a month prior to this RNS from KMK ( 25th Sept 23) an award was made for the BOSKER PROJECT , to SMITHS INDUSTRY for contract of value £87,589,565 !!

Do they mean the Radiological Nuclear (RN) Detection Framework Agreement when they mention tender for 100m or some other.

Some interesting numbers in the EPR interview.

Out of the 8 million smart meters installed presently in India, Cyan have 1.6 m RF meters - which is 20% of all smart meters installed in India at present.

Also, we are informed that presently CC have 50% of all RF smart meters presently installed in India - which must mean that out of the 8 m meters installed presently , approx. 3.2 m are RF meters, 1.6 are Cyan smart rf meters .

I know these numbers are not perfect to extrapolate to 250 m smart meters but if we did . .....

It seems the RF market in the Indian roll out of smart meters is 40 % of total , which is approx. 100 m rf meters that could be required.

A competitor, or maybe several have the other 50% of the RF market in India so far , out of the current 8 million meters installed

If Cyan managed to continue with 20% market share then that's 50 million rf smart meters.

You can easily see how if Cyan continue to take 50% or more market share of RF meters then they must become a target

On top of these numbers it will be interesting to see how CCs hybrid ( Rf / Cellular) meters manage to capture any market share going forward , as every 1% of this rollout of 250 million meters , is another 2.5 million meters awarded to the company.

Interesting map as well including a highlighted Nigeria and Azerbaijan!

I think Cyan did well in 2023 at a time when most awards where not even on the table, or anywhere close. They still managed to pick up decent business.

This expected rollout of SMs is something else.

Today, looking forward into 2024 and beyond with a first tranche of 100 million units being awarded anytime soon, and another 150 million units to follow....then comparing yesterday with tomorrow could be a mistake, if what we expect / hope happens and Cyan continue to get a respectable share of the awards with their partners then there will be no looking back . So far , very good , is my view.

A new chapter is hopefully opening here, lets hope Cyan can make the most of what is its biggest opportunity ever.

I also noticed that DGVCL in Surat, South Gujarat had some news out yesterday, a subsidiary of IntelliSmart Infrastructure who have a 3 million meter agreement / draw down agreement with Cyan which form memory has less than 50% to go, and as DGVCL took 300,000 last October 23 may well need some more soon ........so with DGVCL implementation starting Q3 24, they may well need some more sometime , hopefully.
