Hi LT, I just found a reference to a MonteCarlo win, awarded by MSEDCL in September 23 !

"MSEDCL Awards Six Smart Metering Contracts Worth Over Rs.20,000 Crore. ...According to reliable media reports, MSEDCL has awarded smart metering contracts to four entities, envisaging an aggregate rollout of over 1.72 crore meters.

"The winners include Adani Group (represented by Adani Energy Solutions Ltd), NCC Ltd, Genus Power & Infrastructures Ltd and MonteCarlo Ltd."

Strangely, the data for the Genus and MonteCarlo wins are not included in the table - see link below.

Confirmation MonteCarlo win award in Mahashtra for 2k cr in September 23.

1. Adani - 13.89k cr

2. NCC - 6.8K cr

3. Genus - 3k cr

4. Montecarlo- 2k cr

This 2k cr award must be the second and new award referred to in the MonteCarlo web site . The first award must be the one announced in 22, and awarded to Cyan in Jan 23.

Confusing or what! I hope i am not making it even more confusing but it does seem that Maharashtra have awarded MonteCarlo a 2k cr contract in September 23.

Its reassuring that Montecarlo have been hiring staff these past few months. Maybe a sign that some of the one million meter order to Cyan will start sometime next quarter.

Plenty of really positive news today .

All we need now is a few deployment contract wins to confirm CCs future with what are many of the largest players in the smart meter rollout in India. Great seeing the contract numbers getting larger also, hope this gets reflects back to CC.

I'm sensing a heating up in activity now, so imagine what activity must be going on behind the scenes.

We are now heading very fast into 2024, which should be one of the most news rich periods in CCs history and the making of the company. Whatever happens , I'm sure we will have a much better view in just a few weeks or months time.

Adani Energy forms JV with IHC-backed firm to expand smart-meter business. Adani Energy Solutions (ADAI.NS) has formed a joint venture with a company backed by Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company (IHC) (IHC.AD) to grow its smart meter business in India and globally, the company said in statement on Wednesday.

The Indian power distribution company said its subsidiary acquired 49% stake in UAE-based Esyasoft Holdings, which is majority owned by IHC, an existing investor in Adani group companies."

Cyan have a partnership with Esyasoft, who now will be working alongside Adani as it gears up to assign the deployment contracts for projects of approx. 20 million smart meters in India, so far.

Yes, Airtel seem to have now partnered up with IntelliSmart and also earlier this year Secure Meters for over 1 million homes in Bihar.

Jio partnered with JIO in March 23 for 1.3 million homes in Bihar also.

Hi LT,

I do not like to see large trades going through pointing in one direction on one trading day and after that days trades are dusted and cleared ..only to be told the next morning that that 700,000, or sometimes much larger numbers of trades have been cancelled out,... and to all purposes never actually happened.

I notice Bharti Airtel have announced today they have partnered with IntelliSmart Infrastructure .

Cyan's tender win ratio in India in terms of tenders to date - still looks intact ...

One year ago, Nov 22 Interims was a win rate of 27% in volume and install rate of 25%.

Even though during this previous year, with the recent radio silence on sub contractor awards, the suggestions that Cyans main partners have walked away etc.

Todays numbers still remain intact with

- Current market share of installed smart metering base in India of approximately 25%

· Win ratio in India in terms of tenders to date of 40%, and 25% in terms of volume

If Cyan were losing tenders / awards /business behind the scenes then these figures would be lower, so the numbers remaining approx. the same , should indicate that the main event has not began yet, and the increase in awards to subcontractors is to come, with Cyan upholding its 25% share.
