Green light. I think you are thinking as I Do. Now is probably the best opportunity to invest in CC for years. The annual funding is over, the sp is on its knees, no one is interested......but we have a period of opportunity for the CC crew to deliver some exciting contracts before we have to concern ourselves about further dilution ....which may not even need to happen.....other than a general market collapse I can't think of a Negative....as long as you keep an eye on the promised contracts, and the cash in the bank.......what else is there to worry about ....obviously if the contracts don't appear to arrive while we still have cash in the bank then that's a red light.....your a green light so you should understand.

Yes. HPL have intergrated CC into there meters. It was confirmed in the July 18 trading update. The paragraphs below, lifted from the update are ultra positive Imo and he wording promises some kind of results very soon. That's my interpretation so will be interesting to see what develops.

"The Company maintains its market leading position in India, with proven technology that meets the AMI requirements in India and an established partner ecosystem. Leading meter manufacturers, such as Genus, Larsen & Toubro("L&T") and HPL, have integrated CyanConnode's standards-based Omnimesh technology with their IS 16444 smart meters to comply with Bureau of Indian Standards meter protocol and through these channels we expect to see further strong growth.

Indian utilities are issuing large Requests For Proposal's, from 100k to 500k units, for smart meters solution based on RF mesh technology. Through collaboration, the Company is well positioned to submit proposals and is actively working on a pipeline of approximately US$100 million in India. A number of these pipeline opportunities are at the final stages of tender."

From memory It was a FinCapp update / document from late 2017 with a year end 2018 forecast of around £10 million, a year end 2019 of £20 million and again 2020 of something in the region of £35 million.

I have had a quick look for it, but cant find it at present but I'm sure someone has a link to it as it was much discussed at the time. I assume that FinCapp were informed by CC, so to get to these numbers.

CC have already made their year end forecast. So that's a given, with the caveat of "as far as they knew at that time".

You mentioned that the "BOD staked their bonuses on year-end". Where did this info come from, I miss things..so please can you let me know how, and most importantly when? Thanks GL Vas

Hi Tony have a read of my previous link. Dual band hubs won't be in mass production until at least April 19. It seems they need to test pre production DBHUBS with at least two meter manufacturers over next few months and then decide.

It looks like L&T Electrical & Automation have been heavily involved with MSEDC in the past.

"L&T was awarded a contract by MSEDCL for Information & Communication Technology (ICT) implementation work which includes installation of 25,400 modems for AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) , establishment of IT infrastructure in 810 offices along with communication network, asset mapping & consumer mapping on GIS, development of various applications (New Connection, Disconnection, Network Data Management, Energy Audit, GIS, CRM, etc.), integration of the legacy system with existing and new applications along with Identity & Access Management System, setting up of a Data Centre in Mumbai, Disaster Recovery Centre in Nagpur and 24X7 customer care centre (CCC) at Bhandup (Mumbai) covering 95 towns in an area of 25,342 Sq. Kms.
This project established the baseline data of revenue and energy by automatic monthly Energy Audits & Management Reports, without human intervention.

This is getting very interesting as its a very large order, its being opened today, and its for a solution that is exactly what CC are in business to provide........its hard to believe that we do not have one or more of our partners involved in this tender.

We could be in line for a treat here, or massive disappointment.

It looks like they are procuring both smart meter and pre-paid meters along with Street Lighting with automatic switching.. solar lamps and pumps

"Under smart metering, EESL would install 4 million smart meters apart from 10 million pre-paid meters at the consumer end."

"By the time, the project is completed, we estimate that almost 1.5 million streetlights would have been replaced with LED bulbs with automatic switching systems."

“This is the biggest smart metering project anywhere in the world given the sheer size of the project. We would invest about Rs 26 billion towards this project and later recoup our investment in the next eight years,” EESL managing director Saurabh Kumar told Business Standard.

Earlier, EESL had also raised 80 per cent of the Rs 10 billion estimated investment in the street light project in UP from ADB. So far, the public sector enterprise had already replaced nearly 0.6 million conventional streetlights with LED bulbs in 11 municipal corporations in the state, including Allahabad, Aligarh, Varanasi, Meerut, Firozabad, Mathura, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra.

Under the smart metering project, EESL is looking at installing 0.5 million smart meters in Varanasi and Lucknow by December itself."

From the little I have read to date Tamil Nadu is going for GPS. However, under Smart City they are going for a hybrid communication which will include RF . T Nadu is a affluent district in Chennai.
