Shares have finally broken out of a falling wedge/triangle that had been in place since spring.

Immediate objectives: reclaim the 50-day moving average around 6.12p and a best-case end-of-year target near 9p.

Critical level: remain above the breakout point near 6p.

Mentioned on Sunday Roast regarding the Aqua event recently and also INC holding a Black Friday event sometime soon.

Can’t believe this share has been shorted.

However, if I had an inkling of what was contained in the April trading statement regarding delayed orders, when sp was 12p. then I would have been tempted to close the short at today’s 6p, for sure.

Do you think there could be something involving CC in the well publicised airtel / Intellismart / Adani partnership to rollout 20 million meters in India. I think secure meters may be involved also.

With our relationship with Intellismart , then there could be a role for CC, maybe.just a thought. GL vas

“ Key Highlights for CyanConnode India from FY25 are as below:

CyanConnode has entered into an open agreement with IntelliSmart Infrastructure Private Limited ("IntelliSmart") to deploy smart meters on a pan-India basis. Under this agreement, CyanConnode will provide Consumer Indexing, Meter Installation, and Operations & Maintenance services for IntelliSmart's ongoing and upcoming smart metering projects across India. This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening CyanConnode's role in the execution and long-term management of Advanced Metering Infrastructure deployments under RDSS.“

So this must be a significant development . Anyone care to add more to what this actually means ….one definition of an open business agreement when I looked online is that the customer has access to the suppliers costs.

Does this mean Cyan/ digismart will now take on, manage all of Intellismart future contracts across India!

This increased closeness in their working arrangements does add some weight on the leaked rumours in press a year ago of some kind of investment in CC by Intellismart.

As far as Adani are concerned I found this from September 2023

“ It is learnt that M/s Adani Energy Solutions Ltd has bagged the contract for prepaid smart meter installations in Mumbai metropolitan region, Konkan, Pune and Baramati.

Sources said that it will install meters in Bhandup-Mulund, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan, Panvel and Konkan which will comprise a total 63.4 lakh prepaid meters for which the estimated cost is Rs 7594 crore.

Similarly for Pune and Baramati regions, the same firm, AESL, will install 52.4 lakh meters for a package cost of Rs 6294 crore.

Numbers sort of add up, but a whole year later before award made to CC, witch is possible .

Tony I only ask the date of the release of this new module as if it was recently it coincides with the delivery timeline mentioned in CC RNS, dated August 24

Hi Tony, I am probably wrong but the question /s remains who is the 6.5 m company ? If someone else then Why were Cyan not named at the time, nor since and delivery of these meters should now be well on their way.

This new Genus smart module. Do you have a link to its launch and the date it was launched .

I found something called the Genus Communication Module but looks so far it was released around two years ago, I think but not clear.

It seems to me that in August 2024 at a similar time as Cyan announced their 6.5 million units award , Genus also announced two different and separate contract awards.

The first on 21st August 24 for 4.26 million smart prepaid meters, system meters including DT Meters

Cyan announced on 28th August 24/an award of a total of 6.5 million modules for varying smart metering projects in India .

Genus released the news below regarding three awards the same week that CC announced their award but CC did not disclose the awarding company.

30th August 24 Genus announced the following

“ Genus Power Subsidiaries Win Three LoAs for AMISP Projects …. The scope of the projects entail appointment of advanced metering infrastructure service providers (AMISPs) including design of advance metering infrastructure system with supply, installation and commissioning with facility management service of about 5.59 million smart prepaid meters including distribution transformer meters with corresponding energy accounting on design, build, finance, own, operate and transfer basis.”

Ok, the numbers do not match but the timing does…and it is possible Genus placed an order for more to supply somewhere else.

Sorry if I should know this but can someone tell me if it’s has been announced / or who do we think that the award below is from?

made on 28th August 24 for a “ Major New Contract For 6.5m Omnimesh Modules… a global partner for six and a half million Omnimesh Modules, together with Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Standards-Based Hardware, Omnimesh Head-End Software, Perpetual License, and a Support and Maintenance Contract.…. relates to various smart metering projects in India, with supply of Omnimesh Modules expected to commence during H2 of FY2025. The installations for each project will then be completed within 27 months and followed by a 93 month Support and Maintenance Contracts, which will commence upon completion of the installation phase. Approximately 70% of the contract will be paid during the installation phase”

Anyone have any idea who this order was for. Could it have been for Genus! If not who?

Yes, the loan was paid back in full.

Announced in july
