I must admit I like the story here and their enthusiasm.
Can't really see why the SP fell so much. No reason imo.

They are talking about an Explanation target of 2.7m . Is this is addition the existing JORC numbers?

What I would say is you have to look at the body language. The CEO can only relay facts but imo for quite a time they have felt good about their deposits in the Hot Gold Corridor. Yes they want to prove it up asap but till now spare cash and permits have held them back. But as Kerim say's their confidence is growing all the time. Of course Eldorado spent a lot of money in the area but the drilling seems to have been rather scatter gun. Kerim & Zack have worked tirelessly to tighten their understanding so when they do drill it will be highly cost effective. The breccia-pipes akin to Hot Maden are the ones that excite me most. Of course with these ore at the surface tells you little. You have to drill into the "pipe" I believe at cross angles and at considerable depth. But if the do exist they can be very high grade and of course could replicate what Mariana discovered. So it is a game of patience but the body language tells me it is one worth waiting for.

I really don't know the answer. Much depends on how successful the drilling is I guess.
The full programme is 10,000 metres with the first 2,000 m being termed a subset. This is simply designed to increase confidence in the existing Salinbas resource in addition to conceptually testing the Salinbas Main and North JORC exploration targets. So I suspect the meaty drilling comes in Phase 2, but I'm no expert.
This is something we would have to ask Kerim to expand upon.
Mariana at Hot Maden did 34,000 m of drilling Nov. 2014 - March 2017 (infill & step out).
However 10,000m might be enough given we aren't drilling randomly and Kerim and team have a great track record for know where to drop their stick so to speak.

Will many of you attend the AGM? I understand they provide an investor ‘s presentation, so could be useful.
Do the Directors make themselves available afterwards?
I was told about 50 turn up which seems pretty good for such a small Co.
Obviously has many long standing, loyal private investors.

I had 3p pencilled info Xmas 2017 (whoops) and 4p for Xmas 2018 (possibly, but perhaps unlikely now). I accept that the big jump will come from Salinbas drilling in 2019 and then when the loan is repaid and we are throwing off FCF from April 2020.
Much will depend on how good the Hot Gold Corridor drill results are, next year, but based on Hot Maden and Mariana, it isn't difficult to hope for double figures in a reasonable time scale. Well that's what keeps me interested, but I've already been waiting a long time!!
But for me, the story seems to show more short term upside than it has for a long time.

Some great posts. I agree it is far too early to get too excited but you won't get much time to buy in if the drill results come back with bonanza grades. There are a few things I like.
1. Kerim is conservative and doesn't over egg things but I'm sure I've seen a sparkle in his eye over Hot Maden for at least 2/3 years.
2. He demonstrates how the deposits tend to go in steps along the corridor all around 5 or so km apart. If you look at our deposits you can see this running from Hot Maden in south to Hizarliyayla to Derinkoy North to Salinbas to Ardale and so on.
3. As has been said if these are breccia style the surface grades won't necessarily be impressive. The high grade stuff will be deep down which requires drilling. The good thing is that they have identified where the breccia pipes are and know where to start drilling.
But we need Forestry Permits before we can start although I think there are some areas where we already have approval. They expect to get the necessary Permits pre April drill start date.
I recommend would be investors attend an Ariana investor evening (sure to be one this winter) and see for themselves the body language.

To get a feel for the timescales we can look back a see what happened at Mariana Resources.
Mariana did c. 34,000m of drilling Nov. 2014 to March 2017.
In Jan. 2016 they announced their J.V. with Lidya.
In June 2016 they consolidated their shares 10 into 1
In 2016 they budgeted $8m to encompass 20,000m of exploration, extension and infill drilling & comprehensive tech/dev. studies.
In 2017 they budgeted $10m for a further 20,000 m of drilling as well as technical studies to complete the PFS.
On 26th April 2017 they agreed the merger with US based royalty Co. Sandstorm Gold which valued Mariana shares at £1.10 an 84% premium to the closing price of 59.5p . There Mk. Cap was subsequently over £130m
Hot Maden trended N-NE - a fault zone & was sub vertical in nature.
They found known mineralisation over 700m.
Today Kerim tells us our target is extended over 500m strike to the North. 500m even at this early stage in the work programme.
The steeply plunging brecchia-pipe style of mineralialisation is akin to Hot Maden.
Hopefully we will be undertaking 2000m of drilling from c. April next year. This is a subset of the full 10,000m programme that is planned.
Given it is breccia pipe mineralisation this to me means you really have to drill deep to ascertain the true grades. This is not an on service open pit type deposit. Be aware I'm no expert, just trying to make sense of it all. Any help gratefully received!

I remember being in Mariana Resources for years. Then they suddenly acquired the Hot Maden asset. I don’t think they had been in Turkey before that. Nothing much happened again for ages. Then with some drill results they was a bit of interest and then we had the hockey stick effect. I don’t want to get too excited as on AIM things more often fail to deliver than deliver, but I personally think Kerim & team are special and I think our assets north of Hot Maden will turn out to be just as good only we own 100% not 30% as Marianne did.

He is surely starting to get noticed & rightfully demanding of plenty of respect.
What a player. Fantastic fundamentals on the operating Mine and so much E&D potential. Also proved himself as a canny investor buying & selling those lithium assets.

Look at what happened there. Mariana Resources owned 30% and sold out to Sandstorm for $175m even though there were operational issues like a river and village to relocate, so I believe. We own 100% and our area is far bigger. We have at least 4 prospective sites including Ardala & Salinbas. Kerim is now talking again about the breccia pipe geology which is similar to Hot Maden. So exciting. Remember Kerim is conservative and doesn’t want (won’t) over promise, but I’m sure even he is now chapping at the bit to drill this properly next year. And we can now self fund it!!<br />

Perhaps I should make clear that I’m not predicting 4p by Xmas , but some years ago I started to set out how I thought the share price should perform, bearing in mind in normal conditions markets look forward/anticipate.
I had 3p penned in for Xmas 2017 and 4p for Xmas 2018. All pretty rough & ready stuff, but as we haven seen the Co. has actually done considerably than expected, so you could say my numbers are soft. If the Co. was valued realistically around say £40/£50m the $33m (ours bit $16.5m ) would have been seen as quite small.
But our silly Market Cap in comparison to the loan, even though it has been straightforward to service from cash flow, might have put some off. Our bit will soon be around £6m or less which perhaps seems more manageable for any nervous investor. Perhaps sentiment will change quickly and my 4p and naked runs will become a reality!

We apparently remain a confirmed BUY with a price target of 2.75p.
For me that would have been closer to my target for Xmas 2017

Over and above the AGM in Oxford on 30th, I see they are presenting at a Proactive investors event in London on 1st November. Is it normal for the Co. to do these sort of investor presentations?

I read some rather disgruntled shareholders on ADVFN. As far as I'm concerned so everyone is clear, I have been an investor for many years but am mainly interested in the commodity sector. An investment in a Co. like Scancell would be new for me and hence my comment that I am a rookie/greenhorn. I'm not trying to mislead anyone, far from it, but have found the research helpful and was accordingly happy to summarise some of the points I have discovered.
From a chart perspective and for long term shareholders I can see it hasn't been a happy ride, but I guess these types of shares rarely are. The upside seems significant but that is primarily focussed on how the trials go. Given what we know so far, I would suggest that the risk/rewards is in the favour of the investor, but I'm certainly no expert.
It probably isn't going to be a nice steady Eddie, but rather a stock that will spike on the release of transformational news. So it seems to me, like PSB or buying a lottery ticket, you have to be in to win. I suspect the chances of winning are pretty good but for now the market isn't latching on to the progress that has been made.
My reason for looking into Scancell in the first place was only as a result of a close family member potentially benefitting from their success, so it is personal no as well. If the bloggers on ADVFN read this I hope that helps their cynicism.
