How is the testing by the EMS companies progressing as that is what will determine whether SMT is successful. I don't think the patents will be an issue.

B+ your points are all sound possibilities. If cap-xx produce the goods then great news.

If trump causes a global recession it won't help the supercapacitor market growth projections.

If cap-xx can escape this market turmoil it will be in minor miracle.

Melon that is probably related to their Australian manufacturing facility that produce prizmatic supercapacitors. Some of their prizmatic supercapacitors are also manufactured in Malaysia and all their CAN supercapacitors are manufactured in China. So how tariffs are applied to them is not certain but I'd guess they will be at the higher rate.

Regardless of all the comments it will just come down to cap-xx delivering results. As you say there are many companies with very little but multiple x mcap so a profitable cap-xx with growing revenues could do very well from here. They need some very big news to get there though as you can't deny sales are poor the Australian factory is only running at 40% so 40k products a week/2m per year but I'm not sure they even produce that much as at about $3 a unit revenue wound be 6m not 4m without any CAN sales so more pork pies from the BoD.

Are you sure about the impact of tariffs. Cap-xx also manufacture in China and Malaysia as well as Australia. How that impacts tariffs is unknown. Also there are US supercapacitor companies such as maxwell, ioxus, cornell dubilier and avx but don't know where their manufacturing is carried out.

It's fair to assume the Australian manufactured products have that advantage over asian products but not necessarily over US based companies. Hopefully it is the case as not many of these companies produce prizmatic supercapacitors that compete with cap-xx.

You're not wrong about the lack of sales what do you think the chances are of schurter achieving sales or even cpx finally landing a substantial contract and what about the smt technology if it finally passes testing.

Wkw I know you get some criticism but have to agree these arrivals are really taking the pee. Recycling old information and creating the impression some huge deal is imminent with the likes of Nvidea.

Some people say these boards don't affect the sp but the effort some make is so blatant.

If cpx ever actually deliver on one of there many promises it's going to catch so many out.

Smt next that would be worthy news but as nothing has been mentioned timescale wise it could be a while yet unless someone he knows more

Maybe the distributors will start selling cpx products and not to forget schurter. Be strange if this situation creates an opportunity for cpx to finally get some decent sized customers

Yes that should be the case including digikey and the many other existing distributors. They are also in discussion with end customers directly and of course EMS companies are currently testing the smt product. I would hope they provide an update for Q3 and some idea of what's in store for the final qtr of the year. Otherwise we'll just be fingers crossed for good numbers when the EoY results are published. All sounds good but proof will be in the numbers.

B+ the last contract win announced was in October the lack of sales news doesn't help support the progress they are reporting. January sales were up from last year but still not a big number. We won't get monthly updates but without any information it's easy to assume they haven't yet secured any of the deals they are working on or whether the new distributors are placing orders to hold stock. Still feel they need to announce something big to restore confidence.

Well it's the right product in the right place at the right time. Lars, with a statement like that you really need to follow up with some right big orders. 3 months to year end what will he produce for the highly tuned ready investors. Another LinkedIn post, more distribution, more options or something else.

You're not wrong there b+ but schurter, capvis and GC invested like us to make money. It would be nice to know what their exit plan was and how cpx fit in with those plans. Schurter will be involved in supercapacitor products for the long term and will end up jointly owning IP with cpx. The question is how do capvis envisage maximising their investment. I hope they're looking to support cpx growing into a successful valuable independent business, the alternative is a buy-out that might not be at the sp we are looking for.

M99 i thought i read somewhere it was higher but they are private and the figures weren't disclosed but revenue is published and that's about 300m so not sure. 300m doesn't seem much for the size of company.

Still it's strange why they invested in cpx by buying shares instead of taking part in the placing although they did buy more in the 2nd placing to maintain their percentage. There'll be a reason for this that we don't yet know hopefully it will result in increasing the value of cpx.

Apparently schurter were valued at £3.5b when capvis acquired their stake. Capvis have successfully floated 10 companies and that is most likely the plan for schurter.

If that is the case why would schurter purchase 4.5% of cpx in the open maket. They will want to maximise the value of schurter for a future IPO. Will that be achieved by taking over cpx or keeping them independent. Whichever it is they will be successful and hopefully it also benefits existing shareholders.

B+ i like all them points and it's why as a lth i have averaged down. What i will say is that many years ago you could have produced a similar list of exciting opportunities and great news. Unfortunately nothing materialised some technology stalled and sales never arrived. This coupled with poor market conditions is why cpx are where they are. Until they make a profit or announce something like the smt no one is buying the story. That's why it's so important that sales are rapidly increasing to edge towards profitability and the smt product succeeds to move to another level.
