Ok you are right- they are different countries and the SL travel restrictions are irrelevant and scanport don’t care either

I am not saying there will be no contract- I said it will affect the contract- it may mean a delay and more negotiation- hence no announcement last week and fowler is buying time- is tomorrow likely?
The SL travel restrictions were decided at a meeting on 2nd March and fowler will have known of this since then

Fowler will hopefully rns confirmation of the scanport contract soon - he will need to confirm that it will cover the shortfall at SL- Wsg will have a good, medium and bad case projection analysis
Scanport will obviously have conducted due diligence on their technical partner and are aware that SL is their main source of recurring revenue. I agree that it is not a fact but my opinion that they will want certain guarantees written into the contract and vice versa

Misty- numbers are still low in Africa with cases from travellers rather than community spread- multiple issues will determine possible spread- characteristics of the virus included- they are still in containment phase- unclear how individual countries will fare- maybe better near the equator

The issue over the coming months is not just Coronavirus in Tema or lungi- though obviously these will have a big impact on a small staff number

The issue is a global recession, with disproportionate impact on small indebted companies, reliant on airline passenger and cargo flows with globalised supply chains

Is their cash flow, inc from lunghi, robust?
Similar questions to scanport and other small operators. I can see why scanport insisted on a contract- however short. Healthy companies with low cash reserves will go bust in coming months

Fowler’s rns seemed rather subdued- not the usual bombastic bs- he has a lot to discuss with scanport and will need to go in person
