I think Neil's quiet as his "secure investment" is unravelling. Kroger are doing well at the moment. When their Ocado CFC's come online they will be a powerhouse. Unfortunately the pandemic came a few years too early for them to truly capitalise on it.

The reality is that brokers often get things wrong. Investing is much more complex than buying a share which has consensus positive broker targets and just waiting for the share price to rise.

Yes, tech futures still a lot down from UK close tho. Very interesting to see the Kroger results later.

Kroger results and any mention of Ocado could move the share price today. Tech market dropping, Ocado solid today given very weak market.

They are valuing the vertical farming part of Ocados business at 440p a share by 2030. Ocado have invested relatively small amounts so far in vertical farming, not all numbers have been disclosed but it looks below £50m. A big factor in this is how it helps the overall attractiveness of Ocado's tech solution. I think it adds another spoke to the wheel that they offer grocery companies. Another way to distinguish themselves. Robotically picked super fresh food. An attractive selling point.

Odd day yesterday, 2 broker price target raises yet the share price declined a little. Maybe the market was expecting more. Anyway, let's see what happens today. Share price should start to rise, tech futures up a little since UK close yesterday.

Nasdaq futures down 3% from UK close. Ocado will surely drop tomorrow. However nothing's certain and Ocado has shown good resilience over the last few days in the current incredibly adverse market conditions.
