David I think you have accidentaly transposed the numbers. Page 3 of the latest presentation states:-

Low-cost LOM average AISC of ~US$13,700 /tonne

Where LOM is life of mine, and AISC is all in sustaining cost per tonne. Which includes future capex to keep the mine running for future years. The cost is said to be in the lowest quartile in the industry. See:-

It seems to me that the pricing cap and floor mechanism is a way of giving debt providers with a guarantee of interest payments and loan repayment. Equity providers appear likely to take the remaining risk. It will be interesting to see to what extent this affects the interest rate paid on loans. Also as there is a cap as well as a floor, some of the upside for equity providers appears to be taken away. The graph shown appears to show more upside goes to the cap and floor provider than comes from them. Shareholders should be very wary. Unless inflation is taken into account, the cap may become more and more burdensome. As ever the devil is going to be in the detail.

And unlike many companies, The Chairman's interests are closely aligned to shareholder's interests.

Rachel Parrish's visit is indicative of growing collaboration between the US and its friends to build critical metal supply chains. That means there is a growing chance of some governmental and perhaps intergovernmental assistance. A previous post listed the forms that assistance might arrive in. CUSN has posted about this visit on facebook and now twitter (X) so they clearly think it is important that we know.
