Sippy :
I don`t normally respond to posts about people`s personal circumstances , we all have different targets and objectives
however your post sort of encapsulated what I observe to be a bit of an air of despondency at the moment and in your case you mention 3.5p which gives me a cue :
I think we are all probably down (well it must be around 95% of us) and I imagine DW is very well aware of the financial pain here . I also think he will be doing everything possible to avert a cash raise at this price . I think most of us agree that it is disappointing and somewhat surprising to be at this level post the FO which , again , most us believe represents an excellent deal for 88E . I wont list all the possible reasons why I think this has happened , most of the reasons have probably already been aired . The issues seem to me to be : can this fall much more , when will it start to recover and how high could it go ?
Short answer to that neither I nor anyone else on this BB can answer that . My opinion is that we must be close to ground Zero much lower and all sorts of other factors start to develop , not least of which must be the possibility of some opportunistic bid and nobody (especially DW wants that) . I think we should start to pick up speed again in the next couple of weeks . Whatever people say , the City IS empty in August , activity subdued and this along with numerous other factors has provided a medium to trash the price and panic the herd . We are due some news update in September and after the disappointment of the FO (which is ridiculous imo ) I suspect DW will pull out all the sops to present the next news release in an upbeat positive format . That news in itself might just be the catalyst to ignite interest again . That brings me to the question of how high will it go ?
As I said I don`t know , but , I doubt DW will ever be satisfied with a situation that does not trigger his options (I think they are set at 3p). IF , PMO get Charlie to predict commercial flows , which is only about six months away , I could see the sp at least above 6p and if that happens I expect there will be enormous interest in the HRZ and the rest of our acreage . It would seem that PMO , are super confident that they will be successful . Leaving future prospects beyond next March aside , I feel that this is at last , the right time to be invested in 88E and it doesn`t surprise me in the least that the AIM Casino has been depressing excitement and perceived prospects , that`s just what this somewhat bent market does time and time again .
I would make one other observation : If ~ WHEN ~ this market turns it is so perverse the sp could absolutely rocket and there may be a mad scramble to get back into the share .
Anyway bottom line ~ I am also frustrated but remain very positive about the future . I know that counts for nothing , but , I really would not get too depressed about your 3.5p average , or imagine that you will never see a return ~~~
