We should be approaching our lows even if this deal goes through. So hopefully this is a good base to work from. As a number of posters have posted the circular and subsequent coverage will hopefully either show the full advantages of this takeover/merger or finish the deal off. So either way from this level it could be a win situation .onmho

meant to say thats if the Tailwind takeover goes ahead , but i am sure i am not alone in thinking that this would happen anyway without the takeover

Newkotb small write up in offshore enginer today. You may still get your wish as the ceo mentioned north Africa could be a possibility after the takeover. Also mentioned that any surplus of cash will be returned to shareholders together with the continued dividend policy.

This is precisely why we are in the predicament we are in now. Inmo it comes across as a battle of the egos. How it appears to me is that both ceos have tremendous talent but in different ways. So surely something could be worked out where both parties benifit. Its called diplomacy that seems to not only be lacking here but in the world as a whole inmho.

Infor it's the institutions that need to see this. I will email contacts on their holdings announcements and direct them to this bb and advfn. You never know if they read some of these posts it may sway matters.

Infor is their some kind of way the institutions could see this. Maybe check RNs holdings announcements as there should be contacts on there. Newkotb. My thinking was more on the lines that through an EGM the bod could be forced to abandon the deal. Also if gas and oil continue to fall it is not going to be viable anyway inmv.

Maybe somehow an EGM could be called so all of this can be brought up. The more I read information coming out on this bb the less likely that I will be holding Serica in six months time. That's whatever the outcome is.

Newkotb. We somehow need to get the institutions and house broker to raise these points together how many see this as a bad deal. For me if the company pulled this deal it would be good not only for shareholders but the bod as well. At least they would then be able to concentrate on a more value adding deal going forward. Their argument could be that oil has fallen substantially which now makes the deal unviable.

Another concern here is that the dividends will not yield as per the previous year due to the increased market cap and where the shares are now trading. For me if they paid a small increase on last year it would equate to about twenty pence. If they maintained this the yield would be approximately nine percent. Which i cannot see happening. Whereas five percent which was roughly what we yielded this year would pay thirteen pence. So in reel terms we could loose out on dividend payments going forward.
For me this is another reason to vote against unless they can guarentee the dividend payment would not be less than last years.Thats in pence and not yield

its obvious to me that the deal was about to occur when Kistos struck. Then delayed for whatever reason and then came along the wft. To me it looks like an original deal was hammered out a number of months ago which has not been amended when the wft landed. Had they declared it six months ago then it would have been a better deal,but it is most certainly not now inmho. Best case scenario is the deal is broken as this will only cost us seven million as opposed what could occur in the future. Brent so far down five percent today. What is going to happen if it falls into the sixties or lower
