For me I caught out with the words strongly advise shareholders to do nothing from bod re Kistos. Having said that I did reduce,but have been adding recently as I feel this is a good investment at these levels. It's all about stability and dividends now.

Totally agree. I think sometimes the less information and advice taken from these bb the better.

Heres a thought.
So Mercuria want stock as opposed to shares. If they dont get it and walk away then what would stop them bidding for the entire share capital. Now that would be a nice scenario with a bid in the open market. Its obvious that they are keen to be a key player in Serica. So maybe the bod should just walk away and if they are that keen let them simply buy out the entire company.

The problem we have now is if the share isssue is voted down the deal could still go ahead. If they are that certain it is a good deal they simply will issue less shares and use cash as a alternative. They could even take on debt themselves to complete this. Personally i think the share price says it all. The market hates uncertainty which is now what we have. I posted this before but in a way the lower the share price falls in the short term the better. As this will either force out a bidder or worse case scenario make this a good investment, but the window is closing in terms of a bidder coming forward. It would also require them to be hostile. I.E a dawn raid

I too thought the presentation was good and the ceo came across as very sincere. What has swung it for me is that the debt is continually being reduced from the day the deal was announced. I also liked the fact that dividends will be increased in pence as opposed to the yield on the current share price.
Hopefully we will start to climb above three pounds, but on the whole. It seems to make perfect sense. Obviously would have been happier had the dilution been lower, but this might be a distance memory in six months time.

After digesting everything fwiw it is still a no from me. I cannot get away with the fact that our market cap is near cash at hand. Why destroy everything for a North sea purchase.with this purchase we have lost one pound in share value.

We could end up with a bigger problem if the share issue gets voted down. As the company may still proceed ,but raise cash instead of shares. What has also surprised me is that the share price hasn't really responded much. The worrying thing for me is where do we go from here. If we vote down how Will value be added. If we vote up where is the share price growth coming from. Had we had a sizeable bounce today I would have felt more comfortable holding for the long term,but not so sure now

As many posters on here know i am no expert , but my first reading is that the company has been very transparrent.
For me fwiw its a difficult one. As all i want now is a stable growth company providing a decent dividend. What is unfortunate is that this gvmnt has made life extremly difficult not only businesses , but good old citizens like myself and i am sure other people without generalising.
Maybe Serica are overpaying, but the way this government works they could end up having the bargain of the century. Who knows. I certainly dont. So in sumary i am pleased with the transparency of the circular

My understanding was that holders one percent or above had to disclose. I was confused at the time when I saw declarations below one percent. Maybe some one could enlighten me. As I feel something like this is important.

If they have offered them something or enlightened them without informing the rest of us. Then it is at the minimum insider dealing. Let alone fraudulent. As I posted a couple of days ago if there is dirty play here they would get twenty years in the u.s,but the good old u.k will no doubt knight them.
Obviously I and most posters on here still do not know the final details yet. So hopefully all will end up good for everyone.
