Something i have just read which is interesting if it is correct is that brent oil prices will surge more than wti. What does that tell you. Maybe our energy minister can give us a strategic answer on this.

Oil predicted to spike up to 100 Dollars. So i think we can now forget any compromise re Epl .

The problem is that edd will use this and say that it is more important than ever to convert to green energy.The worry is that he will want to do it more quickly.

From our perspective we will no doubt benefit with the spike in oil. This could be a negative in terms of Hmg justifying the continuation of Epl together with the green parties recent victory. Hopefully we will have a better idea midweek.

If she can prove that the cost of the lost jobs in monetary terms outway the revenue being made from epl.Then i think that they will have to do something.

I think the key here is that Epl could be dropped before 2030. In that way they haven't scrapped it. So hopefully all sides will feel it's a fair compromise.

Brent Oil has now remained below seventy dollars for the past sixth months. Surely this is a good argument to scrap or adjust Epl even the gas price hasn't stayed below the trigger point.Hopefully Serica and other n sea players are lobbying hard on this point

My view fwiw is that even if the company does not expand apart from drilling within its own prospects it still has a solid foundation.
