So no surprise there with EPL. Forty pence seemed to have been factored into the share price. Judging by the fall since 20th November.

Ontarget. The current problem with Hmg is that they seem to expect investment when it suits them. Then provide no incentive,but just penalties. Great if that news leak is accurate,but pointless if they do not remove epl alongside it.

Off topic but certainly relates to Serica .

Its worth looking at sector movements since around the twentieth of this month. Companies such as Serica have declined. House builders and investment companies like legal and general have increased. Even tobacco has held up. So one can surmise that most of the budget has been leaked. Either by the Treasury or the Obr. imno. Not a surprise in this day and age, but it is now looking not so good for oil and gas companies.

I have posted before that rather the epl being removed they will simply double down on oil and gas and if anything they will try to cut any tax loop holes which the industry can currently use. Just my thoughts, but they are in a very strong position with low global oil and gas prices as they will simply import any shortfall .

Asartara. I have forgotten that re gas prices. I think the best we can now hope for is that gas and oil will be treated separately in terms of taxation.

Brent has now been trading below seventy dollars for nearly four months. Just another two months to go and Epl should automatically be removed.

So things may work out beneficially without Hmg altering their current stance.

What's the betting we get some kind of rns during the next few days. Unfortunately not looking good. Maybe some kind of merger approaching. Re Ithaca. Especially as their fall in share price almost corresponds with our own. Once again both Ithaca and ourselves are the biggest sector fallers today.

With past experiences of holding Serica for a number of years fwiw. There is usually a sting in its tail when it falls like this inmv

Dennis. The duchy of Cornwall are actively reducing their carbon footprint. They are currently progressing some good initiatives which will reduce their footprint.

After our UK energy secretary recent speech at cop30. He failed.So what is next Hmg pledging billions on their own to the poorer nations in order for them to confirm to his folly.let alone what they will pledge if the us/ Ukraine proposal fail. Twenty one billion and counting.

It should attract more institutions in terms of investing due to boundaries they currently have with aim shares. The downside is sdrt will now be payable. So it may distract smaller investors inmo

Inmv there is no way the Epl will be removed. Council tax surcharge looming let alone what they are going to do with private pension income. So i am afraid if anything they will extend the Epl.

We are saved. Soon we shall have a nice new gas pipeline throughout Europe. You never know Serica Energy ( Supplying the uk energy needs) maybe able to pick up some crumbs along the way. Even little Britain maybe able to provide some rubber hammers and toilet seats for the rebuilding and funding its defence of some kind of boundary.
