The fall in price today is particularly annoying as gilts have firmed again today. Its looking more likely that we need an actual cut interest rates to attract buyers inmo.

Labour has stated that the National Interest claus will remain during a national crisis. In other words they will simply nationalise the energy industry if they feel it nescessary to keep oil and gas flowing. This to me is now the biggest fret in terms of Sericas independance. What is a major concern is that should they suddenly decide to nationalise for whatever reason there would be no premium on the share price. So maybe one option is for Serica to split of its UK assets once they find an overseas one. inmv

Maybe the existing producers could charge a fortune to gvmt tocontinue pumping gas and oil until the fields are exhausted. They could also ask our secret service to investigate millaband and it's supporters as there seems to be a crime against our state inmho.

It may down to the forth coming general elction due to the lack of buyers. In terms of something nasty lurking. My thoughts fwiw is that this is a highly regulated company more so than others due to the nature of its business. Interesting point re US Treasuries Trek. It does appear that we are now more alligned with them rater than our own and Euro bond market. One thing that doesnt seem to be happening is that we are not being priced in for a rate cut which is wildly expected during the next six to twelve months. The market certainly hasnt taken a longer view. Which used to seem to happen in general terms in the past. I.E looking eighteen montha ahead.

The problem is who would buy. Not so much who would sell and that goes for any small Britain's shares ATM inmho
