We now have a situation that Germany is so reliant on Russian gas that they will inadvertently fund this farsical situation by continuing to purchase it.I just hope that they fund the rebuilding of Ukraine at the end of this. There is a very good write up in the Guardian today about the consequences for Germany with its gas imports. Basically they are saying that gas supplies are about to be cut either voluntarily or by Russia. The knock on effect of this is going catastrophic for all concerned inmv
My view is that it will not be long before governments including our own start to nationalize gas fields.

A big farm in on the eigg license by a major could also help in underpinning the share price. If it occurred Newkotb inmv.

Until recently i used to agree with you. A year ago we were languising and a takeover i would have welcomed. Not so sure now. For me if they can build cash and pay decent dividends. Then what is wrong with that.
Currently as you and lth are aware we have possibilities with Eigg and Skeryvore. If both of these fail to come to anything this year then maybe things would alter.
just my thoughts , but what company do you find at this moment a better bet??

Very true,but in this current climate anything is possible. I.e gas on ships then converted to lng at a depot.

Just a thought.
What is there stopping a foreign company acquiring Serica and then re routing all the gas to its own country.
I know many years ago companies such as Rolls Royce and P and O had in place something to avoid this by HMG . National interests etc, but as far as i can see these safeguards are no longer in place.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this
