The next news we receive will be the the next and probably delayed quaterly report. The only change in that will be the increase in the value of our ENSI shares. The wages Brent and JN are picking up are are just freebies too add to the their pension pots. I nearly typed in the wages they are "earning" but soon changed it. They have not justified a penny of their £5000 a month.

Almost immidiately? Below is taken from yet another Vela RNS. I would say 18 months from a succsesfull trial declaration is stretching "almost immidiately" a tad.

Furthermore, should the trial be successful, we expect to agree a commercial deal with a partner almost immediately."

I am certainly no expert but surely if AZD1656 was any good as a Covid treatment it would have been snapped up by now.
The BOD said the expect nothing for atleast 12 months. I would imagine that's what they have been informed by SGSC. People with diabetes have been getting ill with Covid since the pandemic started. It coukd have been helping lots of people way before China decided to open up.

Taken from our final results RNS dated the 28th September. Yes, the markets assume AZD1656 is dead because our directors told us so. Might not be dead in the water completely but they are not expecting anying till at least October 2023.

Our average is over 50p in MODE. Add that too all the other duffers and the BOD performance and comms. Not sure why you think there should be any positive sentiment.
When ENSI has had a good rise recently that actually added value to our portfolio, our SP never budged. That's shows you how Vela is not on anybodyd radar. That's why the trades are in the small hundreds most days. Most holders of Vela are well underwater and are just looking on the next false bounce in SP to liquidate their holdings.

Because the rise in MODE has increased our holding by only a few grand. Probsbly worth about £15000 now.

That's been my major groan about Vela in the last 2+ years of holding. JN had a great reputation as was the main driver for my first investment. Apart from the fact some of our investments are shockers. The lack of interest from Brent and JN is even worse than our investment in MODE. They even some how re-appointed their old mate. Paid him for a few months then let him recoup some of his losses by some how getting him double the share price. Apparently not illegal but just another slap in the face to us ordinary PIs that are showing huge paper losses.

I think most of us would be happy with just getting our money back on our original investments.

Dare I say it, ARB is actually a worse investment than Vela.

A very good summary of where we are at. I personally think 2023 will be the same pattern for Vela. The odd unwarranted rise in SP and then the price will drop back to the levels we are currently seeing due to the Ensi and Code holdings. JN and Brent are not good enough or bothered enough about Vela to make this a real investment. I am keeping a few million invested just incase AZD1656 comes up trumps.

Great start to the year. Let's hope this is just a blip and we are not waiting for too long before the main news to get us moving. Like I said previously, the jury is still out on our new BOD. They need to start delivering on the cheap/free shares they have recieved. Only the first day of trading for 2023 but never nice too see another 7% drop on a already depressed SP.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel, the jury is still out on the new management team. Nothing is concrete with AA yet and they only things confirmed since they came onboard where a placing and lots of cheap/free shares for themsleves. Hopefully they are worth all the freebies and the good news starts being released in January 2023.

Not a complete shock and a few on here predicted that Bill would get the push. The failure at Mexico has probably proved to be his downfall.

Like you I am no expert on pharma or medical trials. However when the results came out there did not really seem to be a massive improvement in patients using AZD1656 as a Covid treatment. That's why it has been put on the back burner and not been used. The trial was a success as there was a slight benefit in some patients but not a significant benefit. It was a big gamble with a huge chunk of our money that has back fired.

But you said it was Croda Jimmy. I remortgaged my house because you said your sisters, husbands, brothers next door neighbour said it had all been agreed.

Jail might be a bit strong but being paid £5000 per month for their efforts is a joke.

You would like to think that our ENSI and CODE investments will keep us above 0.015p but don't rule anything out.
Our BOD are that useless though that nothing is off the cards. I have kept all but a few million now. Just incase AZD1656 does somehow come to our rescue.

Director buys do not mean anything?
Of course they do. They give confidence that the BOD are willing to put their own money in as they believe the SP will rise from the point they purchased at.
