Your holdings will be divided by 100 so it is in your interest to adjust your holding to a round figure. If you have spare cash buy a sufficient number to a sum that divides cleanly by 100. If not. round downwards but the cost of the transaction could exceed the consideration. My grandchildren each had an odd number. I have rounded each holding up to 250,000.

Investors are not getting twitchy. Practically every day, including today, there are more buyers than sellers, sometimes by a massive margin. it is only the AIM dealers keeping the price down.

When the consideration falls below the cost of selling then you know you have made a bad choice.

DL could have made me a fortune if only I had sold when I had a substantial profit. Could have sold UKOG at 14 p (before the consolidation) WSBN at 16p Bacanora at 155p KDNC (REM) at 30p yet my greed took over (this is my chance to become a millionaire ) I manage three funds for my grandchildren and have only chosen blue chips and funds with proven successes. All three are doing very well. They will not be millionaires but they will have enough to get them through UNI!Why cant I do that for me?

My friend was a dealer for one of the biggest jobbing firms. His instructions were that to have a short book was cheaper. Having stock on his book costs money. This was when we had 14 day accounting periods .

When I worked in the old Stock Exchange in Throgmorton Street, in 19 hundred and frozen to death, I was often asked to check on a stock showing an abnormal rise. I would approach the jobber (market maker) and pose the question. Their answers were all the same. "More buyers than sellers" That concept no longer applies with AIM. Clearly all the market makers are holding short positions and the last thing they want is the SP to rise. So they keep the SP low, soak up the stock from the silly sellers and when they are flush with stock, let the SP rip.

9m sold 35m purchased yet the SP is in a slump. If a 3 to 1 ration of purchase over sales can't move the SP up , something is definitely amiss.,When I get out of this stock, I will never be the victim of the AIM dealers again.

The inevitable drift downwards is due to a seemingly to lack of confidence but is it? Every day there are more buys than sells by a substantial margin. In that case that means that the MMs part with more shares than they are able to collect which means they are all holding short positions. Given those circumstances it is in their interest to keep the SP low as it looks good on their books. As in the past, when news hits, they close their positions off as fast as they can which creates a massive spike and a shortage of shares. It will all come right in the end . It is just frustrating having to trade via the AIM market. DYOR

I still think the AIM market needs to be investigated by the FSA. Every day more than double buys over sales yet the SP drops to suit MMs books.

Twice as many buys than sells. MMs carrying short positions so cannot afford the SP to rise until they are carrying stock. Crazy AIM strikes again.

I don't know if the QFI board are keeping abreast of what is happening in the maritime fuel regulations coming into force or not. My contact with them in the past suggests otherwise. There have been international developments which will force all shipowners to seek alternative low sulphur fuels. I attach a link which explains all. QFI need to make themselves known now!

Had no problem with HL Applied for myself and my two grandchildren in their junior Isas . Received confirmation for all three and awaiting the final numbers

I sold out yonks ago to invest in better prospects and never regretted it, but my grandchildren's holdings values in their junior isas were so low it would cost them to sell! Who knows, When they reach my age, they might get my money back? In case you are wondering, 99% of their portfolios are in unit trusts which are doing very well.

98 million shares bought. Why is the SP in the doldrums ?

I'm firming the opinion that the aim market needs to be investigated by the FSA. How can any share having 4 times buyers over sellers fall in price? Clearly there is MMs manipulation. They blasted the shares on the news and used the opportunity to close their bear positions by mopping up shares sold by panic sellers at silly prices. With 40m shares purchased they are obviously short again so need to keep the SP low. Every day there are substantially more buyers than sellers yet no rise. . Needs investigating.

Sold out yonks ago at a loss. Went back in last month. now up £2200. One of my rare clever decisions.
