Severn Trent has posted a 6.8% rise in profit. All indicators are positive despite unusually hot/dry summer last year.

"zero visibility" for the 2nd half of this year and share buybacks to prop up the SP ... worrying.

Last results I read when I researched had revenue from letters more than from parcels but you may be right that the letters business may have declined so much by now that parcels is the bigger revenue earner. We'll see next week. The point is they are losing revenue on letters and their parcels business is not price competitive. BTW, RMG have not white vans

after doing some research I don't think I'll bother. Seems most of RMG's income is from letters. Letters business is rapidly declining. Most people get bank, water, elec/gas, telephone, credit card bills online these days. Seriously big employers like NHS and schools already post (or soon will post) monthly payslips via email - it saves them money and loses RMG easy money. Every month more and more things that used to be big earners for RMG are going online or by email. It won't be long before all election cards are sent by email. When was the last time you actually wrote and sent a letter to anyone? Add to this the pension commitments, executive pay and power of the postal unions and it's not a good prospect. Results out next Wednesday I see - I expect more bad news.

I'm noticing low volumes on down days and high volume on up days. Every time this drops below 240p the sold shares are very quickly swallowed up and the SP goes back above 240. New CEO, new warehouse, rec from IC. All very positive signals and I think days of under 240 will be few and far between. This will reach 250 by end of month and form the start of a new trading range to 290.

Last year they blamed cold weather, this year they blame warm weather. No sign of reducing customer losses. CEO Conn (appropriate name) to get 44% pay rise. Same old, same old.

Hope some of you got in on that slight dip. In a couple of months when SP hits 260p these will seem cheap.

on my portfolio today. Very positive to get a rise like this today even after a 32% rise over the last month. We are in a new trading zone and waiting for dips isn't on any more. The next highs will be 250 (this week) and then 300 - next month. New CEO will take these global. Glad I'm still in for a big gain and didn't sell out for a small gain. As for Motley Fool they change their mind every day - best advice is to ignore. If these hit 250p that is a massive BUY signal. Ask any teenager - they all know about Boohoo, and they're the ones asking mummy and daddy for money. IMO this is very much undervalued. OK there will be sellers along the way but they will lose out. I listened to the whole conference call and they're doing all the right things and know where they're going. The new warehouse is already onstream and this will improve margins and customer satisfaction. They have the infrastructure in place for 3 years of massive growth. All the indicators are positive. By the way, lots of idiots on this board - I'd rather have 80% of PLT than none of it! I was laughed at when I bought at 191 on the basis of last results but who's laughing now? These latest results are even better.

Surely not another post-results SP dive. These results are stunning. Can't wait for the opening and today's stampede for shares. 250p easy.

Booked a flight back in Feb. Notice now that flight has gone down in price 20%. Used to be that fares increased as the date got nearer, now we have the opposite - desperately reducing prices to fill the planes. Seems that if this happening across the board then RYA won't reach their targets.

This review sounds a lot like Interserve a few years ago and we know what happened there. Get out now is my advice.
