The apparent willingness of the Kazakh government to defer drilling obligations under licence conditions is reassuring as this is the main issue under the going concern assessment. Existing debt arrangements also seem stable. The re-iteration of the $30 floor for breakeven together with the suspension of new drilling activity suggest that there will be an operating profit in the second half, possibly offsetting the operating loss in the first half (details in the accounts of the relationship between the gross profit and operating loss would be helpful in understanding exactly what is going on here!).

Should oil prices stay at current levels or above, I would anticipate an improvement in the liquidity of the company over the second half of the year, although increases in bopd would seem limited unless a deep flows. Without a deep flowing, CASP will still be profiitable over the next year and seeking a partner to develop the deeps seems a sensible option. BP?

If brent carries on rising at its present rate, we should hit $50 sometime in November (2020). That will give us $25 net according to the AGM answers.

Well if there was going to be an August RNS, today was always going to be the most likely day. As I have said before, I don't think they are under any obligation to publish one this month, so I think we'll be waiting until early September now - perhaps next Thursday.

$50 seems likely during the autumn. At least one thing is going right!
Meanwhile we just have to be a little patient here. There should be some kind of good news within the week, even if the deeps aren't quite there yet.

sheps can't write what he wrote last week because he would just get banned again. However I read it and responded (my response was taken down with his post because they remove the entire thread). He broke the rules by making a serious allegation about the board which he could not back up, but which was defamatory.

I am unable to identify that allegation without also getting banned, but if true it would result in the board gaining all the money and the shareholders none. I don't believe this allegation to be true, but if shep does then selling up now and investing elsewhere would be the best approach.

My own view is that would be daft as there is every prospect of at least something working from the current attempts both in the shallows and the deeps. On top of that Brent is looking very positive - we are over $45 again today and moving up.

The last day of the month is Monday 31st. Given that that is a bank holiday, I am expecting an RNS on Tuesday 1st of September.

It would be nice if they gave us some information in the next 6 days Smasher, but I don't think they have promised to do so, neither do I think they are obliged to. They have every reason to leave the next RNS for as long as they can, and in the mean time no doubt the share price will drift, but I really don't think they are too concerned about that.
