What we need on the board is a balanced conversation. Potential new investors use a number of methods to decide on their decision, of which the discussion on this board is only one. I have made (and also sometimes lost) most of my money by investing in shares that appear to be undervalued. When assessing such a share, I expect a variety of opinion in the causes of undervaluation and the prospects for the future. All positive and I suspect ramping. All negative and I reconsider my opinion.

There's a short ceasefire coming up in Ukraine. That's got to be good news even if I don't think it will last.

We drift down on no news and drop on dodgy news. Some old holders are leaving so new investors are needed. Serious oil coming to the surface is what is required for a recovery in this share. Fortunately, as listed in recent posts, there are a number of good candidates running through the year. Fingers crossed.

The Ukraine war has also spilled over to the Caspian in the past. Russia is to the Northwest of the Caspian with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia between it and Iran. If these countries are attacked (I believe there have been some minor incidents already) then it could theoretically spill into the Caspian, but this seems rather unlikely. This is just Russia posturing rather than a meaningful statement.

Plus mining and initial refining costs can easily exceed $1000 per oz, so let's call it $20 m.

I think the response of the market to this news so far is neutral/ uninterested. I think they've got it about right.

The wait for some significant oil related news continues, but hopefully will not be too long.

The concert party are using a cash rich company (CASP) to finance the development of a cash poor company (Kazakhan). It's a diversification strategy for CASP but a financial strategy for the concert party.

As noted a while ago, the Ukraine war has spilled over into the Caspian Sea and this may be contributing to the lack of activity.

The recovery of the CASP sp to levels which properly reflect its asset value and potential production will probably take place in a number of stages:

1. We get oil to the surface in new or reworked wells (small increase in the sp)

2. In some of these cases the flow will justify commercial production creating a viable cash flow (return to medium valuation around 5-8p)

3. Initially this is likely to be sold on the domestic market

4.In the medium term the end of regional wars may allow international sales but oil prices taxes and regulations will determine this decision

5. A reassessment of the recoverable oil places a value on CASPs current license areas (the sp moves up noticeably depending on the volume assessed)

6. We successfully drill a deep well and find baby Tengiz. (the sp goes mental)

Joe, you say 'the market has spoke'. I think the market has not yet heard. Possibly most of it isn't even listening. CASP has whispered its minimal news to a world which has other matters on its mind. When CASP has something to shout about, then perhaps the world will pay attention and take some heed.
