Never been rinse and repeat as always been fully invested since Dec’17 after averaging down on each dilution to counter it. This time is no different. The negatives = obviously the dilution The positives = the IP and progress being made if you can sit it out on a realistic average entry price That’s how l see it and everyone else is entitles to thwir own opinion.

Well we have all had time to sleep on yesterdays RNS to reflect. I think the initial dilution of 213mn subscription shares is the result of the current price i.e we were at .525 with 681mn shares now .425 with the increase by June going too 894mm. That bits done IMHO, maybe l am wrong? The other facility is the worrying bit and game over for many now which is really quite sad. My dilemma is do l average down and could get down to .75 or wait and buy later or just stick with what l have at 1.17p? I do feel that 401 is still close and not a figment of my imagination, as is progress on 201 with the promising PSA reduction to date, plus a little further off but the positive 50% reduction in legions with 301. Potentially l still see this as a multi-bag opportunity but now obviously from a lower base price. I guess in light of no monies from 401, VAL had to go for a rather large haircut to get a more substantial funding deal if you include the warrant and loan notes or face never getting to the finish line. Reading the RNS ‘s again it appears CTll/lll now beckons for 201 after analysis in Q3 and have fully funded the current CT. Will there be a deal for this in the medium to short term? 401 is a free asset in that no more funding was necessary as of last year so news on this could pop anytime l guess - details of the 2 LoI’s and perhaps new ones being signed. So will we get spikes on 201 pre-analysis data in summer and what about 401 news?

True Dracula, throwing good money after bad unless you think the companies fortunes are change. What did the Luxembourg fund see in VAL to offer financing of up to twice its current value, at a premium, but not only that, they want a conversion in to equity (not a loan). Did you aee how VAL in there RNS stated specifically “at a premium” - l guess the dangling carrot there was to make people have a second take at the deal and see through the negativity of the dilution but what this really means in terms of what it mean for the future of VAL now.

Don’t know Nomlungu, maybe need to Google the company, but what we do know - VAL has got its funding for years now and with the nearly all buys of the 75mn shares traded, it appears most investors dare l say it, are pleased with the RNS enough to buy more shares, average down or indeed become a new investor. Or thats the way l see it.

Dracula I started investing Dec 2017 at 6p and averaged down each time to counter the dilution until now with an average of 1.17p, soon to be 0.91p next week. The three simple questions to ask: 1. Do you believe in the science? I do and that is where the value will be unlocked in the $10’s if not $100’s of millions - google oncology deals to see past sums being paid. 2. Do they have sufficient cash flow to survive? Like it or not, after todays RNS they have possibly +3 years of funding now to get ALL the compounds to market, or enough from 201 and 401 to subsidise 101 and 301 IMHO. 3. Is the IP protected? Yes all fully patented in all major global markers. Put those three elements together and hopefully, if all well, jackpot! Investing needs to be kept simple IMHO. Todays news was an initial shin kicker, but putting it in to perspective it has actually forced the longevity of the company, something the market was always concerned with - 1. cash flow, 2. LT survival and 3. the start of an institutional investor base.

There is method in the madness!

But what if VAL get a deal of $25 to 50mn (there 55%) for 401 and a deal for 201of $250 to 500mn? The dilution is then irrelevant and all who sold at a loss miss out - thats the investment or gamble if you want to call it The point is they are funded now for some time, in fact probably with 6mn that is pribably 3 years funding and probably more from 401 upfront payment. Therefore we will see all the compounds get to market at CTll or possibly before (hopefully fast-track 201) and value released which will dwarf todays facility. Personally l wont be around for 101 or 301, but 401 and 201 are now fully covered if ypu can be patient. There is also the possibility that VAL don’t drawdown all the funding but shows partners they are now fully funded until the end, therefore negotiations are from a position of strength.

Tricky, like you my heart sank when l saw the RNS first thing, but the more l read and thought about matters, l became somewhat happier. The silver lining: 1. We have an institutional investor at last! 2. They seek out extremely undervalued investments 3. The deal is at a premium, so they see value from DD 3. We have money until 2020, way past 401 CTlll and 201 update. 4. You could buy at .52 yesterday and now only .50 after the dilution 5. 75mn traded today and nearly all buying 6. The uk investor report showed people lived nearly a year longer on 401 plus all types of payments will be forthcoming. 7. The funder is an LT investor not loan shark like in the past. Exactly Valju. These institutional investors are very Savvy and will have done extensive DD and much more on VAL than we will all do in a lifetime. It is very clear that they see the SP north of 0.6 by a large margin.

GM not stood alone

Valju, GM has not got a good image on this BB l know. , but I don’t mind him to be honest. Please note that the financing deal will have been advised by their nomads (and always will have been), not GM, plus any partner deals, LoI’s is being handled by VAL’s US PR company or in 401’s case, by SEEK. If you like Satu, Tarquin, Suzy and the rest of the team, please also note that any BoD decision has to be made by majority, GM stand alone.

Well 5 years ago was too early for PI’s to get involved with a junior bio. Need 5-10 years before it gets interesting and you will be killed by dilution. The silver lining is the investors size if stake, the premium they paid and there investment strategy is to invest in, not undervalued but extremely undervalued companies

Yes Freddy wasn’t it Hardman or Align that said VAL need to get an institutional shareholder base. Not a loan shark! Funky, yes they are committed to taking a 33% loss to the current share price, so they must see decent upside on whatever information was shared by VAL with them, which we are not privy to...... yet! Despite the dilution and lower share price today, l guess that bodes well in the coming 6 - 9 months and guess the investor had to pay a premium to get a decent slug of shares.

Good post Iceman and hits the nail on the head! I have more funds to invest at the end of the month and will do - the news flow between now and the end of the year could be revolutionary for VAL. They needed money to tie them over and they got it! PLUS they have there first institutional investor on board: they obviously saw value in VAL. Dilution is never nice, but put in perspective, you could buy at .52 yesterday and now you can buy at .45. Not the end of teh world is it?!

Wow, 401 has had outstanding results - 300 days on early stage CT. imagine how the big boys can take the compound and develop it further in CTlll with the right funding and know how. No wonder the US and Euro LoI’s were signed!. Interesting to see the financials details now.
