At 1.2p now it worries me how many shares in a placing they would issue, plus the likely price?

At 0.75p ps for example to provide 12 months runway at £150k pm cash burn would need another 240mn shares so your current holding would be diluted by roughly 65%.

Ouch!

I would argue, what a mess THX left us in.

I think now we are entering the middle of October and the cash burn situation (can't be much CAB now), a placing is nailed on IMHO and so we should expect to see an RNS shortly, but at what discount and what value?

Jinky, looks like a sell off in to a placing but to be fair to ME, he has inherited the current situation.

We should live in the present, since the past is gone. But we should learn from the past as the present evolved from the past. The future will become the present, so in reality the present is what matters not the past.

Rat, you miss my point…. I was not comparing VAL to GSK but purely making the point that quoted companies can have many placings and rights issues etc during their journeys over a long period of time, so doesn’t really matter in the bigger scheme of things.

That is unless you don’t partake in the fund raising as you will be diluted to hell until your holding is worth next to nothing - quite a few here in that position sadly.

If you don’t want to partake because one, you’ve already lost too much or two, no confidence in the stock then you’ll just wither away and must sell to stop the rot.

Finally, repurposed / reformulated drugs such as 201 or 401 account for some of the most successful formulas of all time historically… have a read here:

1. you say raise 15, l think Glaxo have probably have over 100 in their lifetime so what? They are always subscribed to if not oversubscribed.

2. 201 l think we will all be surprised as it is a remarkable formula used for BC201 and 301 and has multiple other uses as well as Prostate and still stacks up now in comparison to its contempories.

3. 401, yet again technically incorrect as Ambrose will indeed due to financing most likely JV 401 when / if adopted. We will discover shortly.

Yes, quite sad guys and you have two options.... sell and just write it off, (hopefully) wait for recovery without the Victor Meldrew whinging or indeed average down!

Nice steady stream of buying Friday and today - l think the new approach and starting to cut out some of the dead wood. Lab b/e soon and countdown to 401, THX ultimatum and polishing CLX to hopefully start licensing talks 2025 is making its mark.

Think l have been here for about 6 years, but what we have now with VAL is a very different animal and strategy, albeit still fundamentally a bio and has to sell / license its IP on but no longer taking it through as many stages as possible which was massively cash depleting under gruesome twosome!

The legacy assets are just that! old and need to be moved on and sold but the new pipeline is exciting as it allows VAL to cherrypick the best university minds around the world to develop a concept and for VAL to evaluate it and if successful bump it off in to a SPV and fatten it up to sell at market as early as possible e.g. CLX.

Lol, that’s the point…… the infrastructure was in place and the marketing which is why we no keep getting the Inaphea RNS’s on agreements reached and why they at B/E making income by EOY.

Rat, it takes time to recruit skilled personnel, build the infrastructure and a marketing plan - seen the number of bio fairs and shows they have presented on in LinkedIn? The fruits of which are the train load of agreements recently announced and from the presentation told that the lab with B/E shortly and generating income by EOY.

I liked 301 and the Endo angle but VAL are concentrating resources on monetising near assets (and services in the lab) to maximise shareholder value in 201, 401 and CLX ASAP.

We have seen a shift in culture from pure science and personnel to ME appointed to (albeit a Dr) to commercialise VAL which has been lacking for all these years so we now have an optimum mix of science and corporate.

All in all l believe we are at an exciting juncture with the past big pain being the delay with THX, otherwise we would be in a very different and better position now, but confident ME will rectify this shortly and get us back on track in 2024/25.
